I normally think trailer teasers are stupid, but for this movie...

Holy f****** s***, that trailer was gorgeous. It was epic, it was a thing of beauty, friggin chills. This FINALLY looks like a NEW and unexpected direction, I’m still reeling from what I saw. If you want to go in completely clean though, don’t watch it, because there was some borderline spoilers stuff there, holy s***.

That trailer was epic as hell but I felt like it may have given away too many things.

It may have, but in some cases I think they’re messing with us with editing. I other cases I agree, some Snoke stuff there I could have done without, and seems like they’re showing us some end of movie battles there I would also have preferred be a surprise.

A ton of information and yet all it did was make me want to watch the movie even more. I think it was the perfect trailer.

Hmm. One thing did concern me in this trailer. One of the main complaints of the Force Awakens was the Mary Sue nature of Rey. At first I thought it was just people being trolls, but once the adrenaline of the Episode VII hype machine wore off, I started to realize she was indeed a TOTAL Mary Sue. I was willing to let the story unfold a bit in Episode VIII, hoping she had training in the past or got a mind wipe...something like Revan in KOTOR. But from the one line by Luke about the raw power, it seems like they're just going to go with the very unoriginal, lazy storytelling version, "She's got a ton of those midi-chlorian thinga-ma-bobbers. She's totally pOwErFuL. Ooooo."

The trailer was still beautiful, and I'm excited as hell to see it. But it looks like we're just going to have to deal with Rey learning how to use the Force by herself over a day or two while tied down to a chair. I mean, the man who's Dad was the Force itself took years of training and still got his a-- handed to him (or maybe his arm handed to him) by Count Dooku. But Rey was able to figure that crap out in a few hours and best a Force user who could stop blaster bolts in mid air and hold them there while having a full conversation.

Not sure that was actually possible. I had swamp a** all day from the nervousness of whether or not I was going to get tickets to the first IMAX showing on opening night. :D

I'm not buying the narrative of that trailer. I am sure it contains a bit of straight forward info, but I feel like a lot of it, including the directors tweet is premeditated misdirection by Lucas Film

Whoa. They really went with the misdirect on that one. :D

C'mon, Disney. Why act like this is a big deal and a big reveal? Could a title be any more of a wet fart than this?

They’ve been saying it would be called “Solo” on Collider Jedi Council for as long as I can remember. I guess it’s like the most obvious title in Star Wars history. It’s about Han Solo, it’s Han Solo’s solo film, writes itself. Still not that excited for it aside from maybe because of Donald Glover’s Lando, having too hard a time seeing any other actor play Solo.

I'm willing to wait until I see the trailer to judge if I'm not interested, but so far I'm not that interested. Attaching Ron doesn't make it much more interesting to me.

I want to be excited for this. I'm just not. I saw Episode VII in the theater 6 times, 3 of those times on opening weekend. I saw Rogue One 3 times in the theater, once was the opening 7:00 Thursday showing. I have tickets for preview Thursday and Saturday for Episode VIII. I don't even know if I'll see this on opening weekend.

I'm not really excited about this either. Im kind of done with the old characters, I'm ready for some thing fresh and new in the Star Wars universe. Hopefully episode 8 and on will completely depart from old stuff.

    Expanded Universe fan like me?

I wish the OT crew would had said no to coming back they would have started in a new era. Even if the EU got burned anyways i would have preferred that.

Some of the stuff. I like the Old Republic from "legends" and I've read a few of the new books since Disney did their, "Everything from this point forward is canon" rule. But I liked the Bane Trilogy, the Thrawn Trilogy and some other books here and there. For Solo, I just don't know why? We met him when he was already pretty young.
