Roy was probably the most noticeable teammate tonight that was giving DR motivation and made him feel part of the team. He probably feels the same way everyone else does right now, but at least he's not being a prick. I respect that.

Roy had a very good game tonight. He seemed to take playing against Whiteside as a challenge. He rebounded well and gots some blocks. Very active on defense. I'd love to have him back if this kind of game would come more often the once every month or two but it doesn't.

This is precisely the way a great vet handles this situation. The maternal part of me teared up watching him pick the kids up and get their heads on the right level.

@Weezy :D :D :D good catch! I agree I'd love him to be back for cheap as our backup big man to Whiteside. He provides some awesome veteran leadership. I'd forgotten about him as a veteran honestly because he's so bad in games usually, but damn it was awesome seeing him pull these guys together and get things moving in the right direction on the court. Great game from him. If he's willing to stick around through a rebuild, I want him here.

Hibbert is a professional and a loyal teammate. Didn't he try to intervene when some player was trying to engage Randle in a fight? Every squad needs that glue guy that will not allow things to get out of hand. Hibbert is that currently.

If he is open to coming off the bench I would consider wanting him back depending on the price.

He's gotta come cheap, and he's gotta come off the bench, then I'm on board. He's sure as hell better than Sacre. Then again, Bass has proved to be a better C than him. So it'd be a choice between him and Black.

Pincus has made it sound like Black coming back isn't really in the cards at this point.

    I know it's impossible
For the roster not to be changed
Just wish some decisions were made
After we get rid of a coach that's deranged

    He can't develop talent
    Or even decide on rotations
    He changed lineups all year
    While giving us priceless quotations

    It'd be extremely foolish
To so easily give up on Black
He's one of the few guys
I definitely want to see back

That would be very disappointing. I'd be upset if management was ignorant enough to let him get away.

Agreed. The way Boron kept him out most of the season was just idiotic. I will be PO'd if we let him walk.

Would you return if you were Black?

If Hibs wants a couple million to mentor some bigs, he's welcome back, in my view.

If Roy wanted to come back as a bench big for a rebuilding team, I'd take him back. He's a good guy and a good teammate.

However he's not allowed to start anymore. His decline as an NBA player has been shocking. I think you could probably double D'Angelo's assist total this season if Roy didn't have hands of stone. I mean I can't count on one hand how many times D'Angelo hits one of our bigs right in the hands with a pass but they fumble it away. Roy is the worst, but that includes Black and Bass and Julius as well.
