    I've seen a few people ask for the Smilies from CL. We are not bringing those over to LB.

    There are a host of reasons. Originally I searched for the Smilies from CL and I couldn't find them to import. Then it was brought to my attention that they were all male and that's not very inviting to attract female members. Then upon further thinking, I realized that they weren't at all Lakers related.

    That being said, we will however have new Lakers related Smilies, but I will be actually creating them from scratch most likely, so this will take a while, and considering all the other things that need to get done on LB, they aren't my priority right now.

    Please be patient. New smiles are coming, but it will take a while.

    You can right click on the ones from CL and copy the image URL and bring them over here if you really wanted to. Not directing this at you Barns, just anyone that can't live without an emoticon from over there.

    "Gender Fairness" with the smileys?? (bang my head guy) Couldn't just find and add some good "female" smileys?

    OK Barns I've said all I can say and will just wait for whatever, whenever. I just think a lot of "personality" and "humor" has been lost visually. So far. When Kobe rises up for his first emphatic JAM of the season at a key point in a game, instead of having the perfect "bug eyed, jaw dropped Guy" to express that emotion, sadly I just won't. Certainly none of the cookie cutter circle guys do that same job, and as well a whole bunch of others that were perfect ....will not be covered with same kind of impact.

    Please keep that in mind and make us proud. If they are all same shape with tiny little changes in expression it's not the same.

    Time and Doc, thanks for the tip. Not sure what I'm doing but I would be happy to save some of my favorites. Thing right now is when I right click and choose, "Copy Image Address", I haven't yet figured out nor know how to figure out on my Mac Pro which drive it's going to, or what it will look like when / if I do find it. Copy and pasting the address in the dialogue box does not work, that I know.

    May have to get some tutoring from one of you guys with some patience. :)

    I think the idea was to copy URL, not physical location, unless I am misunderstanding your post.

    I don't see "URL" when I right click. Is copy image address the same thing?

    Yep. On an unrelated note - which browser do you use?

    Yeah, I could have just made female smilies too... but I don't want to. I honestly just don't like the CL smiles as much as you seem to.

    There will be new smilies I promise, but please just be patient about it. I have a million things to do on this site, and a ton of requests already. I'm getting to them as I can, and while I understand you don't like the current smilies, they are here, and they work. That's good enough for the moment. What I want to do isn't as simple as finding some new ones online.

    Here are my right click options on an animated smiley:

    Open Link In New Window; Open Link In New Tab; Download Linked File; Download Linked File As;

    Add Link To Bookmarks (this would be cool as I could make a folder like I do for other sets of "similar" or "same type" bookmarks)

    Add Link To Reading List; Copy Link; Open Image In New Window; Open Image In New Tab:

    Save Image to Downloads (this does not work right with animated gifs)

    Save Image As; Add Image to Photo Library; Use Image As Desktop Picture;

    Copy Image Address

    Copy Image

    Copy Image Address is the one.

    You can do it in the following way, provided that you need to use the image on a consistent basis:

    Option 1

    1. Create a text file on you machine and copy/paste the image addresses there
    2. Use them as you see fit by pasting the address into the Image dialog here on LB

    Option 2

    1. Click Open Link In New Tab
    2. Bookmark the image in your browser
    3. When you wan to use the image - open it in a new tab, copy the address
    4. Paste the address into the Image dialog here on LB

    Of course I will be patient if this is what it is going to be. I totally get this is not high on list of priorities and you've done an incredible job with the site, Barns, really!

    If I can figure out how to do what Doc said and Time clearly did above, and have some easy way to keep them myself for times when I want them, yeah I would look at that as one option. If it takes me a long time to grab one from my own "stash" then not such an attractive option.

    Please anyone, let me know which of the options above you think is the right one, and if anyone is Mac savvy..... how do I figure out where it's being saved?

    What do you mean by a "text file"? A folder on one of the drives?

    And how do I direct the "Copy Image Address" to go to this "text file" or "folder"? It's not asking me where I want to copy it to.

    LT, here's what I do. I have no idea if it works on a Mac.

    While I'm on this site I open a second browser tab and go to CL. Then I right click on the smiley I want. I click on Copy Image Location. Then back on this site I click from the toolbar above the reply box on the Image icon. This brings up the Image URL box. I right click on that box and click on Paste. Then I click on the Insert command button. The rest is Automagical.
