yeah, they're nearing okafor territory here. tj mcconnell's about to take his spot, and then things will unravel for good.

Right now, the slowest paced team in the NBA is the #1 seed in the western conference. This #1 seed also sports the 23rd worst offense in the entire league. There are 22 other teams that score more points per possession than they do. However, their defense is ranked #4 in the entire league.

The Memphis Grizzlies have chosen to continue with the "grinding" style and forego playing fast. I've always maintained that it doesn't matter what pace you play, as long as you control the tempo. It's easier to play slow when your defense is top notch.

yeah, you play to the strengths of your roster. it's why dantoni's not a good coach, despite his occasional great results. memphis has a traditional big who's smart, so they lean into it. they don't have great shooters, so they create a game in which it matters less.

their only issue is that they depend heavily on mike conley, and he gets hurt a lot. if he and gasol can stay healthy, they can keep winning using a style that people think is dead.

when you have two historically good shooters, you can just chuck from deep early in the clock and expect that you'll win most games. most teams don't have that and try to play that way regardless, cuz math.

Great point. Which means we should move the ball and attack the basket as much as possible.

Boston lost to the Mavs last night and is now 10-10. That’s still good for 6th in the East (still the Least to me), where a losing record gets you into the 8th spot, but it’s still fun to see them 100% healthy and struggling regardless. Here’s hoping the Raptors or Bucks beat them in the playoffs.

yeah, that would be silly, but so was suggesting he's up there with pop or carlisle, imo.

they have a tough situation there right now. hayward's injury and re-acclimation is hard to navigate. plus, they now have a legitimate target on their backs and sky-high expectations. it's easy to perform when nobody expects it.

I don't watch enough Bulls game to know how he was as a coach but I know they've been riddled with injuries and a couple weeks away from getting everyone back. Odd timing?

it's like, two years too late. can you lose a locker room you never had? seemed like he was always on the hot seat there.

but yeah, you have a terrible roster...what were you expecting? zack lavine and jabari parker are your highest paid players.

Truly a FREEK. I've NEVER seen anyone bully Biff the way Giannis just did right here. With NO regard for human life! Griffin literally looks like he lost all his manhood.

I haven't read this yet but have been hearing great things about it from those who have so far. Thought I would share it here:
