:SadPau2: Kind of like a souped up Tyler Ennis.

I agree. I think he was our most significant signing after Lebron. With the news that Lonzo needed the meniscus surgery and given the fact that he is still an injury risk this year, I believe this was of the upmost importance to get a legit backup veteran PG who could play extended minutes if need be. I hate Rondo, but I really like the signing. He fits.

I think he starts. Pretty sure I'd start him or run both of them similar minutes.

You know Rondo won't be giving Ball an inch on pushing his level of performance.

I'm expecting Lonzo to start as long as he is healthy, but I think it would be smart to have either LeBron or Rondo on court at all times.

Top 50 Rondo highlights from the season. I won’t be surprised if he’s our starter actually.

Rondo is such an insanely good passer. My goodness the vision in some of these.

That being said, Lonzo is a better defender than Rondo in almost every way. It'd be a surprise to see Rondo starting assuming both he and Lonzo are healthy. Here's Lonzo defending his position as a starter.

I agree. Rondo can defend, but he is not what he used to be. Zo is an elite defender at his position actually.

As you can see, he does play defense, but he can't do it consistently anymore. But, my god, some of those passes... :Kaream Surprise:

I see all those alley oops to Davis and immediately think how Javale is going to have a field day between Rondo, Lonzo, and Lebron.

My favorite thing in that clip is "Talk AD! Talk AD! Open your mouth AD!" While covering Curry himself.

Next fav is him on the bench yelling at an assistant coach about assignments, "Who got Jrue? You got Soloman on KD?" He's basically like "get off your *** and get people in position!" haha. Oh, he's gonna be a handful. Carlisle couldn't handle him and/or handled him poorly but I think some confrontation with Rondo is unavoidable, it's how you handle it afterward that makes all the difference. I like Luke's chances there. Also the half-court sets Dallas ran didn't favor Rondo much. He was set up for a bad time.

Rondo is no longer the defender that Lonzo is. However, Rondo knows every single play from every single team and he calls them out and communicates to a level the young guys have never seen before. This raises team defense overall, he'll get more out of guys like BI, Kuzma, Hart, KCP, Lance, and McGee on that end of the floor via communication.

I think we hope Lonzo can evolve into Rondo offensively with a better 3pt shot eventually - right now his shot leaves a lot to be desired. I think his passing will improve, especially in the half court with Rondo's tutelage.

Rondo is a grown man and he can make choices as he sees fit. But that's cold blooded.

It is; I guess it won't be so cold-blooded if we trade him at mid-season as salary filler for a star...LOL.

    I can dream...

Sounds to me like what we've been referencing that Kobe said. Rondo apparently took a look at what was going on in L.A. with LBJ joining what we had in place .... and really wanted to be a Laker.
