    CL often went down when ESPN broke the news on a "credible" rumor. The Lakers don't even need to add a major free agent or trade to test this place.

    The solution seems to involve me getting into a program for running my server that I haven't ever been able to get into. I have to figure out the login info for it. I'll try to figure this out tomorrow.

    That is most likely happening for threads that were already marked as sending email notifications before the preferences were changed. So, to solve that problem,

    1. Email notifications has been disabled by default for newcomers so anyone else in the future will not face this problem.

    2. Sometime tomorrow (really depends on how much time Barnstable has since he's handling several things right now), he's going to run a query that'll cycle through everyone's settings and disable the email notifications. This part will fix this issue for already registered users.

    Edit: I took too long to respond. Lol. Barnstable already answered.

    I just wanted to say i was few weeks of the CL and i was sad but not shocked when i saw that forum is dying...
    Will always remember good old days...never had bad days there just laughs and learned a lot...Sad to leave it after almost 8 years, will still visit it, but lakerball already looks million years ahead and props to Barns,You realy did great job...

    OH OH OH ....... found another wonder on here related to SPEED. When you insert foot in mouth, or you reply to a another post but by time it is up there are new posts between you and the person you were talking to....... I typically copy my post and then delete that post and go up and give the reply as to a quote from the person. On CL that was an interminable wait. Here just like everything else....BOOM, gone.

    To the admins of LB, do you guys have a plan going forth to recruit more members? I'd be interested to know what the next steps are in terms of getting quality posters to join, elevating the net worth of LB.

    I hope you guys don't take it the wrong way. My initial comment wasn't meant as a criticism. You guys have done a wonderful job of recruiting 200+ members in just a few days. I was just curious. I want this site to take off!

    This site is great guys. I don't remember if I posted in this particular thread, but if I have, here it is again. The site looks amazing. I'm loving it. And I'm also looking forward to having our continual discussion about law enforcement in the near future of this website :p haha!
