How many wins do the Lakers pick up this season?

I haven't run my projections, so an official answer comes later. 44 is the number for now.

44 sounds reasonable if Kobe is healthy and Nash doesn't last. If Nash somehow plays 60 games then we win 50 and are dangerous in the playoffs.

If both Kobe and Nash go down then 25-30 is likely.

If everyone stays relatively healthy I'm thinking 40-42 wins. If Kobe and Steve and anybody else misses significant time they could come close to that nasty 31 mark Vegas tagged us with.

40 sounds about right if I'm cautious, but I have to say, I don't remember feeling this way about a Lakers team in quite some time. I feel like they are going to win 45+ as a raw gut feeling.

    40. That's if everything goes right...remember, though, we also have the trade deadline to improve this team. Also, an injury or two to the wrong people (Kobe) and we're in the low 30's, high 20's...but 40 is my number at present.

25 - 35 wins same as last year. I think injuries will be a factor like last year and the talent level is low.

51, with everyone staying relatively healthy and Mitch making a surprising trade.

I'm hoping for 45-48 wins this year but I think we'll be more in the 40-45 range.

I am normally not a betting man but I want to figure out a way to put money on that Vegas Sportsbook that has the over/under set for Lakers wins this year at 31.5

We'll definitely get that unless Kobe and Nash get hurt at the start of the year and are out for substantial amount of time.

Vegas is smartly counting on Nash and Kobe missing time. If Christmas rolls around and one or both of those guys hasn't missed much time I could see that line changing very quickly.

The oddsmakers would say it's simple: those two are both on the wrong side of 35, not 30, but 35! They'll miss games. We're relying on contributions from a 19 year old rookie, a PG that lost his starting job, and a group of misfits otherwise. OUTSIDE of Los Angeles I could definitely see the skepticism.

But with a little luck our outlook will change quickly. Take the over right now and enjoy the season. I think you'll win that bet.

I can't help it, I am always overly optimistic as regards Lakers. After 2 seasons with seemingly record breaking amounts of injuries, we are up for some luck IMO. If everybody stays somewhat healthy and some of the young guys have breakout seasons, this team could surprise some people

I'd love to be as optimistic as some of you are but I'd say optimistically 42-44 wins.

Even me, the optimist, says it's closer to 40 than 50, but I'd love to be wrong.

I'm gonna go with 43 if we all stay relatively healthy. *knocks on wood*

32 if we get hit by one or more less minor injuries.

Close to 40. 38-39 maybe. If Kobe goes down, less than that.

After what I saw and read about training camp I go for about 46 wins maybe up to 50. But for that everything has to go right. But if we can be a gritty team and Kobe can still close like he used to we have a shot I guess. As long as those early injuries to Swaggy and X are not a sign of things to come again ...
