A lot of those countries don't like women speaking out, let alone those words.

I like her a lot. Kinda surprised Trump picked her.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-britain-waterboarding-idUSKBN15B23V

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that he would defer to Defense Secretary James Mattis regarding the use of waterboarding as an intelligence-gathering tool, even though Trump said he still believes the practice works.

Trump said Mattis does not "necessarily believe" in waterboarding and other enhanced interrogation techniques, which many lawmakers and other rights groups denounce as torture.

"I don't necessarily agree, but I would tell you that he will override because I'm giving him that power," Trump said of Mattis during a joint press conference at the White House with visiting British Prime Minister Theresa May.

"I happen to feel that it does work. I've been open about that for a long period of time. But I am going with our leaders," Trump said.

    Torture works!

But uh... why are we talking about it?

President Donald Trump on Saturday put restrictions on the kind of lucrative lobbying gigs his White House aides and other administration officials can accept after they leave government.

Trump, a Republican businessman whose campaign was based in part on getting rid of Washington insiders, had pledged during last year's election campaign to "drain the swamp" of political practices that he said made politicians beholden to business interests.

On his executive order making good on that pledge, Trump said his appointees would agree to refrain from lobbying their own agency for five years after leaving, and would not lobby any government appointee for two years.

Trump's order also requires his officials to agree to a lifetime ban on working on behalf of foreign governments or foreign political parties.

Trump himself has come under pressure to distance himself from his business interests, and put his sons in charge of his company, which owns hotels, golf courses and other real estate around the world. Ethics watchdogs have said the arrangement does not prevent conflicts of interest.

lol don't be silly, President Carter got the Nobel Peace prize for brokering the Camp David Accords. Meanwhile, Trump's ban isn't limited to Iran, but also countries like Syria and Iraq where we help destroyed, all the while conveintly leaving out countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar where he has business interests in. FYI, Saud Arabia is actually a state sponsor of terrorism and an egregious human rights violator.

Ehhh..... I think they're all horrible. But he's being the good soldier, doing what Trump tells him, even when he looks ridiculous making those claims. Everyone knows who's pulling the strings.

Taxi drivers at JFK have gone on strike in protest of Trump temporary ban on people coming into the US. The taxi drivers will not pick up anyone from at JFK from 6 pm to 7 pm on Saturday.. That'll show them!

I don't understand the outrage. Governments #1 job is to protect its citizens. When a terrorist attack happens we all say, "we need to do something." He does something, temporary until the vetting is more stringent, and people are outraged.

President Donald Trump has tapped his controversial senior adviser and chief strategist Stephen Bannon for a permanent seat at National Security Council meetings in what some experts are calling an "unprecedented" political appointment to the panel.

In an executive memorandum signed by Trump on Saturday, the president also downgraded the status of the director of national intelligence and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff on the security council's principals committee. Both will now only attend meetings "where issues pertaining to their responsibilities and expertise are to be discussed."

I saw Pribus under some kind of surprising assault by a dude on Fox news I happened to come across flipping through channels in a hotel room last week, and thought he seemed at the least to be a sharp guy.

"The fact of the matter is that 325,000 people from foreign countries came into the United States yesterday, and 109 people were detained for further questioning. Most of those people were moved out. We’ve got a couple dozen more that remain," Priebus told Todd. "I would suspect that as long as they are not awful people, they will be moved through today... If they’re folks that shouldn’t be in this country, they’re going to be detained. So we apologize for nothing here."

At what point do we start to be concerned that Trump is doing everything via Executive Order, bypassing Congress?

When does this officially constitute a dictatorship?
