He can come back again, but not sure it would make much sense given our young guys it looks like our coaches and FO want moving forward. We all knew with drafting Moe Wagner that one was likely going to go - Zu or Bryant.

Nobody else out there is worth the max to us, so without even having a meeting agreed to, you cut the guy? Makes no sense.

    Zo/Hart/Ingram/Kuzma/Randle.

    Am I doing this right?

    Zo, Michael Carter Williams
    Kawhi, Wade
    Bron, Jeff Green
    Melo, Randle
    Boogie, Zu

Boogie and Bron commit (leaking 1&1 deals so Lakers have space next summer to sign Kawhi)
Spurs lose leverage and take Ingram, Kuz, Hart, Deng and 1st
OKC buys out/stretches Melo - they must.
    Wade takes room.
Lakers bust budget to re-sign Randle.
MCW needs a "show" year with stars and better work ethic.
    Green follows Bron.

My man if San Antonio loses leverage, they certainly aren't getting Ingram AND Kuzma. That's what they want now and why no deal has been made. If they lose leverage, they'll have to settle for less than that.

Sup dude - Real. Been a while. Depends on what you believe on the rumor mill as to what has been offered and discussed. To get Kawhi AND get rid of Deng, sending them Kuz, BI, Hart, and a first (not TWO firsts and an expiring) would be a win for us -- room for Bron, Boogie, AND Kawhi. That happens, I promise that Melo and Wade will bring their banana boats to LA for Bron. AND we get to keep Randle AND compete for a Chip this year.

Hey man! I don't know why, I just assumed you'd been posting forever but you're right, it's been a while! :D

To be honest, I'd rather give them six picks than give them both Ingram and Kuzma. I know we get LeBron and Kawhi, but Kawhi's health isn't guaranteed and Boogie's is certainly compromised. Also, Carmelo was awful last year and Wade is about 30 seconds from cooked.

Like I said, it is not just getting Kawhi to pair with Bron - but let's not overlook that, us going from being spurned for 8 summers to getting two of the top 4 players in the League. To get Kawhi AND dump Deng, I think it is well worth it. Opinions vary. : )

Agree about Boogie. I don't want him. But if he compliments Bron and Zo, let's do it (with 1&1 or 2 years at most).

Wade is done. But a vet presence for Zo and Randle helps. Melo actually made more 3s last year. As a spot up shooter for Bron, Kawhi, and Zo to find? We won't find a better stretch 4 for 24 minutes a game. He and Boogie and Rangle and Boogie would be great combos and create room for Bron and Kawhi to drive, kick, etc. I am not really saying I want Wade or Melo, or even Bron for that matter (I really hate him), but I am predicting here what I think he wants and what Magic and Rob would deliver for him.

Fair enough. I'm definitely getting close to the point where Kawhi and LeBron are the goal and we should do what we have to so it happens. I just think we have to stay patient here and not throw the sink at San Antonio.

Agreed. To get leverage we need Bron and/or Boogie to commit to come regardless of Kawhi, AND to still have abilities to sign him outright next summer. Right now Pop is playing cards as if we need Kawhi to get anyone else. Also, would be great if Kawhi leaked more publicly about not wanting to play in Boston, Philly, etc. But I am sure Pop told him "if you want a trade, be quiet, don't tank our leverage, and we will make it happen before the season starts." Big game of bluff. No way Kawhi goes back to play with the Spurs. Like with Kyrie last summer, once the crap was out, there was no going back. I am very afraid of Kawhi going to those green bastards...he would love Brad and playing with Hayward and Tatem.

    Zo
    Kawhi
    Kuz
    LeBron
    Cousins

We lose: Ingram, sign and trade Randle, stretch Deng, lose Hart and 2 future draft picks.

    Sign DC to 1+1 deal
    LeBron obviously
Get Kawhi from spurs through trade where both sides win.
Look for ring chasing vets that can shoot

Some of these players have to be on the way out. We have major redundancy at sg and a huge hole at pg, and still no starting caliber center.
