    I'm fully expecting us to not hire a president of basketball operations, especially since Pelinka is out there now conducting the coaching interviews.

    It is true. He is essentially a fan now, there is no rule about fans tampering. He can say and do what he wants. The degree with which he does so remains to be seen. This thing has a pretty wide range of possibilities, this may be lip service and he does little else than some tweets or he may really go after free agents for us including meeting with them (as a friend of course) either way the front office has lost far less than what is being made out and may possibly have gained an advantage. It could be giant "FU" to the NBA and their tampering rules and at the same time not rubbing it in anyone's face to avoid seeing some new NBA rule about ex-executives included in tampering rules.

    But I even doubt Magic is interested in helping Pelinka. Also his credibility and his reputation have taken a hit with the way he went out.

    If he doesn't wanna be a part of this franchise, how should he convince others in a plausible way to do so? Makes no sense to me.
