He's not what he was at his best anymore, but I don't know, he seems to be pretty refreshed in his new environment. Averaging 18 and 11 this season, had 27/11 tonight in a win. I wanted Pau out of here because it was time, we needed to move on, but I didn't doubt he was going to be a great pickup for Chicago, and I think he has been.

I saw part of yesterday's game. Pau looked good for them. What an upgrade for them at pf.

He struggled tonight as did the whole Bulls team losing to an injury depleted Pacers team.

He seems to have good and bad nights. I am one for turning the page. He looked very unhappy here last year. Odd that he did not go to Spurs - maybe a secret deal with lakers to go to eastern conference?

I respect Pau for leaving. We offered him a no tade clause, crazy contract and he still left for a chance of winning. "Saved" us in the process ;).

Agreed. He got to leave on his own terms and was not pushed. That was the one thing that had been getting to him with all of the trade rumors and Chris Paul debacle. Obviously Pau is a Laker for life for any fan.

I think Pau's jersey will be retired in our rafters after all is said and done. He was a righteous number two with Kobe. Got us to three straight finals and we won two of them. He'll be in the HOF and we'll hang up his jersey. In the meantime I'm rooting for Chi Town all the way this year.

I was very much in favor of getting rid of Pau, and I have no regrets. He was not playing well here. Maybe he needed a change of scenery. But I will always appreciate what he brought during the championship years and wouldn't be mad if his number was hung up in the rafters after he retires.

In thinking about Pau, Im reflecting on how much his game 'grew' while here. Before coming here, I always saw him as sort of a whining wuss who would make faces at everyone on the court (with Mem). He'd take these jump shots from 18 feet (automatic) and sometimes do a spin move into the lane for a floater (nice and smooth) but did not really work that hard on defense. Kobe brought out the best in him and inspired him to be a beast inside. While it did not happen overnight (becoming a beast), his chemistry with Kobe was instant - it felt like he was the Pippen to Jordan, Worthy to Magic that Kobe had been born to play with. While KG made him look weak inside, I forgave Pau that first Finals because truthfully - the Lakers overachieved IMHO that year as no one expected the Pau trade to work like Magic and hoist Lakers to the 2008 Finals. Credit Phil for that. 2009 was like watching Pau grow up as a man on the inside and beating D12 - proved that Pau had come of age as a Laker great for all time. 2010 simply cemented his legacy though it was obvious that KG was not KG of 2008 vintage. In truth, I always believed Pau did not like changing his game for what it did to his body and the pain of banging inside as he was truly a finesse player. That said, watching him out play people in the world Championships (Post 2012 NBA season) proved what a dare I say dominant center Pau had become. He was never meant to be on the same team with D12 and the Chris Paul Trade was the right time to 'cash in' on Pau's numbers with the Lakers. I can't say we did not get anything for him - for me, I have all the memories detailed above and more. He is on the decline and deserves to play for a winner. His number will be retired and hang next to 24 at Staples.

I'm really rooting for Pau and the Bulls. I'd absolutely love to see hkm take out the Cavs in the playoffs if it comes to that.

Here's his line tonight in the 3 point double overtime loss to Dallas. 50 minutes logged.

    Code:
Min FG 3pt FT +/- Off Def Reb Ast TO Stl Blk BA PF Pts
    Pau F 50:09 12-25 0-1 5-5 -6 3 11 14 2 3 1 1 2 3 29
Edit: I put it inside the code tags to make it easier to read/format.
