Short video of Pat Riley coming to Kobe's defense.

LMAO!! All I could think of immediately as to how COOL this is now with Legends starting to come to his defense is BOING [IMG] . Jackson, now Riley, who knows maybe KD will again, and say the way Kobe has come back from his serious injury (I lump them) inspires him now in his own battle.

I think he would be... On a similar note, Jordan has stopped talking to SI ever since the magazine took him to task about his attempt at a baseball career.

Yes. Players must make themselves available to the media 15 minutes after the game. If they don't they are subject to a fine.

Kobe called them idiots. They're getting their childish revenge.

i mean he would still do postgame interviews for the other media outlets but just ignore an ESPN reporters...that includes those little pre-halftime interviews when the half ends

Sure he can ignore them. They all sit at a press room, asking questions. Bspn asks you something, you reply tomato. Childish, probably. Deserved, most def.

Kobe could give them the cold shoulder, that kind of stuff happens all the time. The problem is ESPN is our radio affiliate. Doesn't really make sense to shun the whole organization if they're part of our broadcast group, right?

Maybe he could just talk to Trudell, Ireland, and Thompson and leave the rest of the idiots out in the cold.

^^This is how I take it. Those three guys are the only ones worthy of a response. He can literally ignore the rest.

Hate TMZ, hate even more that TMZ has gotten into sports, but love Riley's comments.

Miami HEAT fans take note where Pat is: Malibu. Where he has a beachfront home. That's right not even Miami can top Cali for quality of living. It's why he only keeps a condo in Miami now and he is going to retire in Malibu as well.
