We both had harsh upbringings you wouldn’t understand, so the bond we share is deep.

As inept as the FO has been & as much of a dumpster fire as our Season was, we have a very good chance of being a much improved Team next Year.. If we can add one of either, Kawhi, Klay, Kemba, Kyrie or Butler to the Team as it stands, that dramatically changes the makeup of our Team. If an opportunity to trade the #4 Pick + Young Core presents itself, go for it.. But I'm down with continuing to add to the core, if it's a legit All Star SG/SF type.

With rumors about Anthony Davis narrowing his choices down to us and New York

The Warriors dynasty finally dying out meaning some of their players might be leaving...

    LeBron still recruiting

I can only see positives next season. We could possibly win a championship, or at least make a depe playoff run.

There's nothing standing in the way other than getting the team pieces together.

Warriors Dynasty over? You guys know that Klay, Steph and Draymond are still in their primes, right?

This is true, but a lot of people are re-evaluating them at the moment. Their first title, Kyrie only played game 1, Love was hurt, hate defending LeBron, but he took them to 6 with Mozgov and “Delly”. Next time up they choked a 3-1 lead. Next 2 seasons they likely don’t win without Durant, they for sure don’t beat Houston last playoffs without Durant. If Durant leaves, I do think their dynasty is over. Iggy and Livingston not getting any younger, and the toll going to the Finals 5 times in a row takes is ridiculous. Eventually either fatigue gets you or injury does when it comes time to close the deal. Obviously they won’t be going anywhere as a top NBA team, but I think their time as far and away title favorite going into every season (IF Durant leaves) is over.

Regardless, next season they won't be the odds on favorites because KD isn't playing next season for them. Draymond is not in his prime anymore either. He's only 29, but he's an old 29. Draymond really only had two of those "Super-duper Deluxe Swiss Army Knife" type seasons. He's still a good player and the Warriors will be a championship level team. But with some reshuffling next season of talent, (ie AD to the Lakers, Kyrie teaming up with someone somewhere, Harden making additional deals with more demons) the Warriors will just be one of 5-6 teams with title hopes.

Imagine if we somehow convince Kawhi to sign for max. KD signs for the min while he rehabs like Cousins did for GSW. Cousins signs for Room Exception. And we trade for AD.

    Lebron
    Kawhi
    KD
    AD
    Cousins

KD can heal on company time, making 30mil. If he doesn't, he's dumb.

Yes, KD can opt in at a worst case scenario, so he's not going anywhere for the minimum. Fun to dream though.

I would think this has everything to do with the KD injury. Does Kyrie still want to team up with him now and have to wait an entire year for him to come back and then risk him never being the same, or at least taking another season or so to round into form? I think landing AD gives us a shot to land Kyrie, or Butler, or Kemba, someone that makes us very competitive in the West next season against a Durant-less Warriors.

Agreed. Davis is the first big domino to fall. If everything goes through for us I don’t think we will be done making noise this summer.

The Warriors will be weaker without Durant and I honestly think Nurse has exposed some of their flaws.

The other factor is I gotta think Iggy is about out of gas completely.

They are vulnerable and I like the odds of a rested LeBron AD and whoever else we can get.

we know how hard it is to replace iggys and livingstons (foxes and horrys) as they age, and how much that can impact your title chances.

gs will still be a contender next year, but they're very, very beatable. they were already.

Good post. Age and payroll are catching up with them. When West was there GSW drafted well (Thompson, Green, Barnes, Looney, Bell), signed some good vets (Livingston, West, McGee), identified the perfect coach for them (Kerr). We'll see how good Myers is without West whispering in his ear.
