This is why I think Bullock fits well, while Rondo does not.

I'm looking at Danny Green as well if Bullock heads elsewhere. I think he has a podcast show and he's 33....LA seems to be a jumpoff if/when he starts looking for his post-basketball moves.

The root of the teams’ issues are that we are desperately missing low post presence. In short a bully. Lonzo masked this somewhat by disrupting the opposing teams ability to operate smoothly on the perimeter. His absence has exposed an untethered runway to the cup far too often. If that’s the case, then i’d at least like to see a good hard foul (lost art ... where are you Kurt Rambis/A.C. ?) or throw a body to make the opposing team think twice. This is the real loss we incurred when we let Julius walk and traded Zu. No one has taken this role on due to size disadvantage or preference. LeBron is our most burly player but plays as a wing and Never has had that disposition on the defensive end. Kuz is a 3 operating as a 4 (questionable move just to get him in the starting lineup). In effect were running an aging point, Rondo, who should be playing no more than15-20 minutes max, three wings (BI, LeBron, and Kuz) and a a slightly built rim protector who provides vertical but little horizontal presence. It’s no curiosity why our record has been what it’s been over the last month despite being effective on the offensive end. Can not understand why FO and Luke can’t see this. Harrell yesterday and every PF/C since Zo’s been out have been meeting us before school and taking our lunch money.

"The Lakers went 15-8 when LeBron James, Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball all played this season but are 15-27 when at least one did not play according to ESPN Stats and Info. The trio has not been on the court together since Christmas Day." - Ohm Youngmisuk

But people wanna blame Luke, Lebron, Maginka, etc. CLEARLY injuries are the MAIN reason for this season's struggles

Injuries are the main reason for the start of the downfall, the AD trade saga is the sole reason the season went from fail to complete disaster.

We just need to go 15-0 and we’ll make the playoffs

If Clippers will lose all 5 games on their road trip and Lakers will win 4 out of 5 or 5 in a row, Lakers are making it

Lakers beat a bad team (usually our nemesis) and Kuz is back? That's all I got.

Ya 15/0 from here out and finish 46/36 and the Jazz just need to play .500 ball or worse 8/8 and they finish 45/37.

We got this, aint no thang.

My optimism: after watching Bron's dunks last night, my conclusion is that he can still elevate extremely well. He's not done yet. If we get him some help (that, let's face it, he traditionally needs) he might be able to do something good next year. We'll see. He lost some athleticism, but not as much as I thought.

lol of course he is not done yet.

The guy is averaging 28/9/8 or something on 52%.

I'm really amazed how negative people judge him here. Ya he plays no D and can't make FTs. That didn't stop him from getting to 8 straight finals.

LeBron needs the right pieces that fit him, which is straight on Maginka.

Yes his stats are as great as ever. They seem to coincidentally be the only thing he himself cares about.

There are many things to dislike about him, but I could still live with them and cheer him on, I was close to accepting him as a Laker. However, when he tried to trade all our prospects that was it for me, right now I'm having a very hard time imagining ever really embracing him as the leader of my favorite team. Actually, I was never this close to stopping carrying about the Lakers at all, mainly thanks to Bron. I have been a fan since 1997 and went through some of the darkest years in Lakers history and that never impacted my fandom. Bron did within just a few months.

Having said that, as they say winning cures all. Maybe Magic and Rob can assble a respectable team around him and all is good in a year again. As of right now, I see literally no benefits of having Bron on this team. On the contrary, not even are there more and more reports of stars not wanting to play with him, it seems like the prospects currently on the roster feel the same way.
