That's going to be silly. I expect Ingram to drop bombs.

Yea Summer League should be a lot of fun this year. I'm really expecting us to lock teams down.

DAR / Brown / Ingram / Nance / Big Z.........Should be able to make teams work.

Brandon Ingram, D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle, and Larry Nance Jr.

I mean how can you not salivate that young group of guys?

One guy is the jacks of all trades player, one is a phenomenal floor general, facilitator, and scorer, another is a really complete offensive player, another is a jump shot away from being an elite big man, oh and that other guy is a stud and a 3 & D player.

    We are set.

Holy crap it just keeps getting better and better. Can't believe our good fortune in the draft. Haven't even gotten to the 70 mil in Mitch's pocket to spend. I think we're going to be shocked and amazed with what comes next. Here's to the Lakers and here's to all of us that love them .....

Oh and to Jim and Mitch .... ^^^

    Russell/
    Clarkson/Williams
    Ingram/_____/A. Brown
    Randle/Nance Jr.
    ______/Zubac/Black

We've got a heck of a young squad and the great thing is that they all bring something else to the table. Clarkson has that quick, explosive game to the rim. Randle is the bull. Russell is the smooth cat able to make magic happen. Ingram fills it up, plays defense, and makes the right plays. Larry Nance Jr. will do the dirty work while also giving you that highlight dunk. I mean all of these young guys fit together really, really well.

Now Mitch has been adamant about two things: 1) we're getting veterans in FA no matter what and 2) we're building with the young core in mind. We aren't planning on letting these guys go so that we can compete right away, we're planning on letting them grow together as a unit. That doesn't mean we won't try to get as competitive as possible with additions this summer, but we're focused on growing as a franchise from the bottom up.

Noah, Deng, and Afflalo are all at the top of my list right now. We're still a strong dump candidate for Marc Gasol. We're going to have a really, really fun season and every season after that will only get better.

I can't believe we actually got the Big Bosnian/Croatian Ivica Zubac in this draft. The guy can truly become the next Marc Gasol.

I would salivate at Marc Gasol. But they're gonna want assets and I don't wanna give them any.

Its finally worthwhile to be a Laker fan again. We've been through some of the darkest times and now the future can't be any brighter.

We have one solid, SOLID, young team all bringing something different to the table. Props to our scouting department.
Oh and let's not forget we have $60mil to spend. Throw that at all the vets. Let's get the season started already!

With a new coaching regime with modern concepts in mind, a burgeoning talented young core...possible solid, veteran leadership coming on board, there's no reason why this upcoming season we can be competitive. We should be in a handful of games as opposed to being blown out. We should be able to eke out wins against middle of the road teams and handily over inferior competition. Plus along the way surprise a couple of the big dogs. It will be again an up and down season but morale and chemistry should be much improved.

I think this crew will still be a couple of slots out of the playoffs but definitely not down at the bottom... They will have to learn to play together on the floor again now that the 24 Farewell Tour is done. The court is now all theirs.

Wins at 30 low, 35 tops.

Thinking about it last night...this group could end up reminding of the mid to late pre-O'Neal Lakers. Fun, precocious, caution to the wind bunch...

This is the part that will likely frustrate us and them the most. They're going to have to learn when to step up and when to step back amongst each other. Last season Randle, Clarkson, and Russell really struggled with that at times. Hopefully Ingram at the three will help foster more ball movement obviously as well as the new offense should.
