Really looking forward to seeing the whole team out there. I think Lopez will definitely help.

    Is that you Doc Rivers?

    :KobeConfused:

Real talk though, your right and with Zo likely missing the rest of the pre-season it will take a little time to gel but we'll get there.

...still a work in progress with parts not fully active. Not expecting too much but looking forward to how they all fit together. Hope we can avoid the spate of injuries we had last season a quarter into it.

    Hmmmm....yeah I got nothing.

But till we got our complete lineup out there to judge, there was at least this to be optimistic about...

Defense is getting better and better, even though we lost it was a winnable game.

If you look closely, you'll see a jealous Kuzma in the background.

I know this isn't optimism but it's more "stay right in the middle, don't get too high or too low". Remember we came out last season and had the toughest rated schedule in the NBA to open the season and we went 6-4 and then we more than cooled off. It can go the other way too, we can have a slow start and that's fine. Considering the likely ripping apart of this team next summer, priorities need to coincide with our needs. I want Jules to blow it up and have a career year so we can package him with Deng and not need other incentives. I want Lonzo, Ingram and Kuzma to grow grow grow and to be honest, everything else takes a major backseat. Love to have some wins, 35 would be peachy. But by the end of the season I'd like to see the 3 kids looking like the big 3 in OKC did circa 09-10 though the probably need a few more seasons - then the cards are in our hands as to who we want to put around them.

I liked that. The scrimmage looked fairly competitive and physical. I absolutely loved seeing Brewer guarding Lonzo at the end there. Seeing that sort of ball pressure every day in practice is going to make him a better ball handler and player.

I liked seeing Deng messing with Zubac and I liked seeing Zubac not take it from him.

Brook put some kind of move on Zubac he just has to finish it.
