And with this it's half the price and 5 times the features, lol. League Pass is $200 for an 82 game season. This is $100 for 365 days.

I'm not in LA and I still get blackouts.

I get it. I am just uneasy paying to unknown sites...

Also, it's $200 for Premium which you probably don't need.

Looks like I'm on a waiting list.

Yup. The invites are sent out by an algorithm that I think is based on your location so that they can keep their servers in check from overloading. Invites shouldn't take too long to get sent out though. I've spoke with the admins about it directly and there really isn't any way to expedite it. I've seen people get their registration email minutes after they've been told they're on a waiting list and others can take a few days / weeks. There should be no reason that it's an extended amount of time though.

I wish I was able to share my account or give you free day passes so that you guys can see I'm not BS'ing. This site is amazing.

They sent me an invite, and I signed up for a year.

I know you wouldn't steer me wrong! Looking forward to trying it out

I'll give some of those links a try when I can during the season. I no longer have cable, so I'll have to stream if I want to watch many of the games.

Wow if i knew about this i would have signed up YEARS AGO lol

Im what you would call a "cord cutter" even though i only had cable for a few years. I usually watch everything on my xbmc. Before the dodgers got their own channel it was hard to find reliable streams but this year i was getting 720 streams. As for the lakers at this point the streams ive been getting the quality is terrible $99 for a year of HD streaming is a steal in my book add the "freeze" time and its even better.

The reason i cancelled my cable is because i only watch the lakers and the dodgers. I really dont need any other channel so paying so much money for something i wont watch is not worth it IMO..

I just requested an invite hopefully i get it before the season starts. I'll be installing the ballstreams plugin on my xbmc tomorrow to have it ready once i have my account

Thanks for this very helpful post :)

NBA Archive mostly, from what I could gather.

Also, one has to wonder about the legality of such a site...

@jerryr88 I mean for NBA LP Premium.

    Ahh i see.

Well im not too worried about paying an unknown site i'll just use a prepaid card or something but the $99 subscription should work for me

As far as legality goes the streams we use are not legal either per se but we're not really causing any harm to anyone were just trying to get our laker fix.

I requested an invite i hope i get it before the season starts

Ive also been researching the site for a few hrs now and no complaints so its a go for me :)

The site is illegal, and if it's shut down (and it could at any moment, even if it hasn't yet), you lose your $.

If you want to get your NBA fix, there are so many other options that are legal or free (but not both).

    @trodgers

If it was illegal it would have been shut down already along with their NHL site that's been up for 6 or 7 years. They're based in the Netherlands where the rebroadcasting of sports is considered a rebroadcasting of news which is legal.

In fact, they've received cease & desist letters from the NHL and yet look at who is still up and running years later.

There are loopholes, they found one and now they're sharing it with the rest of the internet.

This site staying up is the same as firstrow or any of the other links staying up.

The difference is that this site doesn't play porn at half time. They have full HD. They're organized. They know what they're doing.

The use of the Kobe Bryant picture in the top banner is more illegal than BallStreams is.

It is illegal, Lakerswiz. It's selling Trademarked material without giving that money to the holder of the Trademark. You can make some other argument like it shouldn't be illegal, but it is illegal.

It would be illegal if the business was in America, but it's not. It's in the Netherlands. Where it's not illegal.

You live in America. You fall under jurisdiction even if they cannot prosecute the site.

Now you're just grapsing at straws and you've changed your argument from 'the site might be shut down' to how I might get in trouble for viewing the games.

It's 'illegal' and literally nothing will come of it just like the use of the Kobe pictures in the banner and all of the Lakers media throughout the site that is used with NBA permission. The domain name itself can be taken away instantly by the Lakers or the NBA too. It's 'illegal' and yet it is something that won't be and hasn't been enforced.

The next time someone gets prosecuted for watching a live sporting event via illegal stream will be the first time. The UFC talked about doing it 2 or 3 years ago and then never followed through after realizing it would literally accomplish except waste more tax payer money.

You can install a media program for both Windows and Android called XBMC(soon to be Kodi) that has a few plugins that support sports streaming ie sportsdevil, mashup, and even one that posts full games the next day. If anyone is interested shoot me a pm and I can point you in the right direction. Kodi works great on HD tvs and can do some amazing things.

He had a network of sites streaming the games. I clearly said someone merely watching the stream. The drug dealer and the addict.

Plex also works very well in this regard.
