I don’t think they played uncharacteristically selfish, Pope has BEEN selfish, it’s just gotten us some wins this season. Thomas got the nickname “Mr 4th Quarter” last season and now he thinks he’s Kobe. It’s never a surprise to me when these guys go selfish, they’re the 2 guys playing for contracts next season, and we’ve given Pope the green light all season to appease an agent, and now IT, to uh, well I don’t know.

Cause he looks like he's 8 years old and it's hard to see disappointment in a child's eyes.

To be fair to Pope he was playing really well within the system for a couple of months before this bad game. It had been a long time before he tried to take things on himself.

i think pope has played the same way all the time, when he hits shot we say he plays well, when he doesnt it seems selfish but he done same things all season long, just depend on ones view of him....to me he plays for the stats more than to win

No that's simply not true. Pope has lowered his usage%, raised his FG%, and raised his rebounding numbers significantly since the start of the new year.

He went from shooting 12.16 times per game to 9.64 times per game. His FG% went from 40 to 47.7%. His Ortg went from 92 in October to 125 in February (it's at 119 in March). Since February he's averaging 7.4 rebounds per game. That's more than double his career average and it's been a point of emphasis for the Lakers that they replicate Hart's rebounding ability. Pope has done his best to fill that void.

He had one selfish game after a long string of very well played games.

We should have our best defensive lineup out there unless needing IT's offense the last 3 minutes or so. Or him just play off the damn ball and let Lonzo handle it. He's so reckless at times trying to get his mojo back. Ugh!!

Game should not have been that close. Terrible defense down the stretch. Can’t just let Gordon go coast to coast and get a layup without at least trying to put him on the line where he had been terrible.

We need BI back soon. Both of these games down the stretch were very rough. BI solves problems on both ends of the court. Still happy we got a win, but wow, barely.

Horrible refs. Horrible switching defense again, cannot switch everything when Lopez, Zu, or now IT is out there. Idiotic lineup to start the 4th stayed out there way too long, Randle sat for like half an hour and got cold while Ennis and IT killed us. Also, f*** Murray, acting like a little punk, hate that dude.

If Ennis cared about having a job next year, he’d lay a dude like Murray out with a flagrant.

It’s like he doesn’t even care....

I mean, if you aren’t bringing skills to the table, what exactly are you doing for your team?

And no, substituting your last name for the rhyming anatomical word for a****** when chatting with the fellas to get them to laugh isn’t enough.

No closer , simple as that . I have little confidence we can make baskets in halfcourt situations down the stretch ( Lopez is a bit of an exception here but he's no star)

amazing how refs disrespect Julius, everybody flops a mile away and the moronic refs ready their whistle...then swallow it while Jules is being scratch and hammered inside the lane
