I'd have been good with Marshall before we signed Ennis. I think he would have been a very good mentor and guy to go against in practice for Ball. But I don't know about now, we'd have 2 third string PGs, seems like we might want to keep that 15th spot open.

To clarify, I was only laughing at @SFGOLDRUSHER 's gif

I think more of Ennis than Marshall actually

There's just not enough minutes anymore at backup PG. I'm not excited about Ennis, but he's our backup PG now. He's better than Marshall too.

I'd rather sign Tony Allen honestly.

If youre Luke, arent you thinking about BI/Clarkson handling the ball a lil and if anything Ennis plays about 5 good minutes and gives us a couple good hard fouls

Ennis is a better overall player, but I doubt he'll do as well in this offense as Marshal would have. This offense is tailor made for his style, and he approximates Ball's passing better.

I don't disagree about the passing, all I'm saying is that now that we chose Ennis, I think we're done at the point position. I think the only thing we should do now is either a diamond in the rough signing or an Artest signing where we give an old pro a contract to keep the kids working hard in practice.

I still hope mgmt finds a way to get deng pkg for wade, even if Wade is coming off the bench, i'm sure he'll still be happy if we're in the running for a playoff spot and he can save himself for a playoff run and knowing possibility he could be reunited with his bff.

Not like the bulls are going anywhere this year lol.. Luol gets to go to the sorry east again and maybe chicago brings out some fire out of him.

I just dont know if its about the money and they need Wade to sell tickets. I think the move can make sense at the trade deadline. Chicago can say were going full youth with Deng as the teacher, we also wanted to give Dwayne a shot at the playoffs

Just seems like Wade holds the key to whole thing. He asks for a trade to LA, we offer Randle/Clarkson on the condition they take Deng. Maybe do an S&T on Randle to assure he stays there.

They aren't doing anything for a few years anyways.

They get Randle and Clarkson to pair with LaVine and Dunn. 2 years on Deng's contract isn't that big of a deal to them + he gets to return to CHI.

Am I missing something? Why does Chicago not do this? It's gonna remain to be seen how Jules and JC perform of course but let's say decent improvement in Randle (as we've got every year) and marginal-decent improvement in JC isn't this package worth it to CHI? Not to mention the only package they can get as if Wade threatens no one will bother to pick him up?

Works out beautiful for us we resign Wade for our exception or vet min, get our 2 star FA's and resign KCP or Lopez.

because like you said they can wait, why take on Deng just to overpay Randle? They can make Randle a contract offer in the off-season knowing LA isn't going to match and since we dont see JC as a positive, why would other teams do?

They need Wade to sell tickets, the fans are already asking for management's head.

Great point. Fans have turned on the Bulls already, if they trade Wade for Luol Deng, the fans might set the arena on fire.

Hey, if you're in a complete rebuild though, there's no better way to tank for that #1 pick than the Denchor. Only other unwinnable situation is to bring B0ron out of retirement.

Thats why ive been thinking this has a solid chance around the trade deadline. We need the Bulls to suck, and their GM to get drunk and pull the trigger.

Maybe Wade can have some BS surgery where hes out until the All-Star Break ;)

would mgmt. be willing to offer up 2 unprotected 1st to say Chi if it means we can dump Deng and Clarkson on them for Wade expiring?

Management would be willing I think. But I'm not sure Chicago would be willing, especially with all the Lebron + PG-13 chatter. And since next year's is spoken for, 2020 and 2022 is the only way we could do it.

We will probably be able to move Clarkson fairly easily, and then Deng will be stretched. That's how I see it going down. We can fantasize about dumping Deng all we want, but unless Randle really has a fantastic first half where he's worth taking on Deng (but at that point, would we want to trade Randle?), we are likely stuck with the Deng.
