    Ew, why? Our young guys don't get better playing next to one of the biggest ball stoppers in history who also doesn't play any defense. It'd be like old Kobe 2.0 but without the heart.

    If next year was the last year on his deal I would do it, because yeah it gets us out of Deng and it's a one year thing, but Melo isn't a FA until 2019 and he makes 26 and then 28 million over the next 2 years. I'd rather suffer through the bloated rotting corpse of Deng on the bench at his price then take on Melo for 2 seasons. If we really want to shed salary, I would think Mozgov would be more realistic to unload as he's still a competent backup on a good team, or a passable starter on a horrible team.
