I was not sold on him for quite a while there, as is clear from my posts in this thread, but he's brought me around. We can't spend a lot of money on every position we need to fill, and backup PG is one of those spots we have to go cheap. If we can keep him for what realdeal said, 2 year deal, 2nd year team option, reasonable price, I would not have a problem with it. He's definitely an upgrade from Huertas.

One+ one contract this summer. Give me 2 seasons like this and earn a better contract.

He's a game changer, and plays hard, he's going to grow and improve just like our young guys. I would sign him up next year

Should really be a no-brainer. We need a backup PG. We have one we are already familiar with. He is young too, so there is some room for growth.

I actually don't understand how he didn't stick around anywhere. Aside from not being a defensive stalwart, he has it all -- dribble, penetration, 3pt shot, even some in-between game.

1+1 sounds like a steal to me.

No problem, though, as JC still goes to the rack as a light-skinned dude.

the more i watch, the more i like ennis. at first, he looked terrible, but i guess we can chalk that up to lack of familiarity with the system/teammates. he's a keeper. do want as backup pg for next year.

^The Problem is that the Rockets have consistently improved by getting rid of these guys.

I think Ennis earned a shot at coming back. We'll see what happens this summer, but he played hard and wants to be here.

I like both Ennis and Robinson. They've definitely earned short-term deals here this summer. I'd give both of them 1+1 chances. Pincus said there's some sort of nuance in the CBA that only allows us to offer Ennis a maximum of 2.5 million or something a year so there's a chance we get outbid.

The graphic on Tyler they put up last night that showed his averages in the variance areas for all of his short prior career vs what he has been doing since being a Laker and especially the last few weeks was pretty amazing. Hopefully the system Luke has and the confidence from that and the coaching staff will entice him to stay if another team offers a bit more. Yeah he is a huge improvement over what Marcello and Jose were able to give us in their all around games.

Some people just need to be turned loose. Others just need a change of scenery or to be treated differently. I think Luke is building a culture. It takes time, but it seems to be working.

Luke seems to truly give a guy a fair shake without holding his past against him. The players definitely seem to respond to it.

I'm hoping Ennis stays. He's been playing with his head up, steady, making good decisions, making his shots, and he's been effectively running the team when he's on the court.

He'd make a good backup PG, or a great 3rd stringer if he keeps up the improvement

I'd like him as back up PG. Hopefully we can keep him for relatively cheap. He's shown that he could score and able to run the offense and move the ball.
