That's what I was thinking. He can actually shoot the ball and score as well back up the point decently, better than Huertas with his offense. Like someone else said if anyone offers him anything above the rock bottom offer we may give him to come back he probably bolts.

Amazing what a little confidence and playing time can do to a players outlook and career. I hope he keeps it up and we keep him next year which I know he's on a great, cheap deal as a backup PG.

I'd also like to see him potentially in summer league with Nwaba, Ingram, Zubac, and the rest of the gang.

Yeah your right, I just checked. I thought he had a another year for sure. Well then I'm not so sure he will remain with us. I'm sure if things continue and he develops more over the summer we'll want to keep him but who knows, might get a bigger offer from somewhere else now that teams see the potential.

With that said I'm sure he's grateful to Luke and the Lakers for giving him this opportunity because his NBA career was on the decline just sitting on the bench as a reserve. That has to account for something I would imagine.

short careers as an athlete, especially as a borderline pro

if you have a chance to make 2 million vs 1 million, you take it no questions asked

several of our players have an opportunity to add to their pay right now. Robinson is one of them.

well, hopefully we are doing the right thing and treating our guys like gold

when it comes time for that decision, hopefully Rob will have pulled the strings on the collective benefit of living in the LA market to make decisions like this a no brainer for the ones we want to keep

And that's when others start begging to come here for less

C'mon Rob! You can do it!

    Are you serious?

You have a problem with guys wanting to play hard so that someone can pick them up so they can make a living? Those are end of the bench guys, they're playing for their lives. How can you fault them for that?

Not trying to harp on Ennis' recent performance, and I think he's been relatively solid, but as with most of these type of bounce around throw-in players, I take it with a grain of salt.

For example, Kendall Marshall. Guy looked great with us for a stretch of games with the minutes he got, but in the regular rotation of NBA level talent, he got exposed.

These guys make excellent 3rd string players, but outside of that, they can't match up with the next level.

Too bad it wasn't his elbow that was hurt. We could have a joke about T. ennis elbow.

no I dont but if/when he's pickup by another team, what exactly does his performance against SA do for OUR TEAM? Just like someone posted bout Kendal Marshall, dude looked great Now imagine if we had Marshall on a big contract now, dudes barely end of the bench guy. Not saying Ennis gona get a big contract, just that he's out there to pad his #'s for his own sake not the team, maybe Trob too but we saw Trob early on and he's always played this hard....dont you question why Ennis has been traded so many times this early in his career?

This "$2 whore" is producing better for us than he ever did with those 3 other teams. In 18 games, he's averaging 15.7 PER. For a deep bench player, that's not bad at all. Kendall Marshal averaged about the same amount of PPG as Ennis in twice as many minutes per game.

this is feels more like fools gold to me, late into the season the good teams dont really care much and Ennis is just getting opportunities to put up #'s on a bad team. I dont have issues with him trying to earn a living but he's not doing it do he can stay here, he'll go to the highest bidder.

You could make the same argument for Brandon Ingram and D'Angelo Russell's late season surge. All of our young players are playing on the same bad team Ennis is, so why is Ennis singled out? Players should be taking advantage of opportunities no matter what. Ennis is doing that. No need to knock him for it.

What if he found a system that is tailored toward his skillset?

This is the perfect time to be experimenting.

No harm. And we can always offer him a camp invite year on a non-guranteed deal.

We could always cut our losses with no consequences financially if it isn't working out, and if it does workout, we have him on a very team friendly deal.

You are way too cynical sometimes. So you're unhappy they won so was I.... being the drafted Tank lieutenant around here. But there was nothing negative or selfish in how any of the players performed or lacking in the effort with the guys on the floor chosen by Luke .... to tank the game. Pop tanked as well.

glad he's getting a chance to showcase himself. maybe the lakers keep him, maybe not. i will say that if they like him, they can offer him a short deal at larger money, because it's not like they'll be a player in FA this year.

i agree with sirron that you don't turn down 2 million vs. 1. so, if you like him, give him 4. for two years. or one. worst case, it's trade ballast.

Sure be a shame if we don't find a way to keep this kid. I like the cool, calm, confidence and control he brings.
