the good news is after the misguided near train wreck that was Iron Fist, what seems like the impending doom of Inhumans, and the real struggles that Marvel books are having is its only a matter of time before Disney steps in and further strips the folks over at marvel entertainments powers.

Reviews for Defenders are solid, but unspectacular which continues the declining trend of the Netflix material. Agents of SHIELD is the only Marvel Entertainment product that is continually improving. I'm hoping that soon Perlmutter is removed and the two sides can be more cohesive again.

It's truly a bummer that we're not going to see the Netflix heroes connected to the movies at all.

And yes I'm eager for Buck to never be connected to a Marvel product again. Iron Fist wasn't the worst thing I've watched, but it wasn't good either. Inhumans looks like it might be the worst Marvel product so far. By the way, Black Bolt never speaks in the series so we never actually see him unload in the show.

I don't want Disney interfering with the movie side. Leave Kevin Feige alone. The TV side needs to be rectified. I also wonder (not to let Marvel off the hook) if Neflix might be a little to blame? When Daredevil first started, it seemed like Netflix couldn't miss on their shows as they were only doing a few pieces of original content. Now they are pumping out soooo much original content, I wonder if they are rushing things or if they are part producers and slashing budgets? The drop in quality with the Netflix Marvel universe has seemed to coincide with the overall dip in Netflix's overall quality.

To clarify Marvel Entertainment is comics, TV, etc. Marvel Studios which was separated from Marvel Entertainment and given to Fiege. In my opinion tv shows need to be moved over too.

Agreed. This deal was great for the movies, but it killed the "immersion" that they promised. There's zero connection between the TV side and the movie side outside of a few throwaway lines in Agents of SHIELD which follows some loose plot lines from the movies.

Yeah the only real crossover was a Nick Fury cameo, Thor's female Asgardian warrior friend and the fall out from Winter Soldier.

To be fair, Coulson is in both. :D Cobie Smulders character appeared in both as well.

Except there's no mention of Coulson in the movies ever again. He played a big part in pulling the Avengers together in the first movie and they aren't even told he's actually still alive.

    ^ That.

Not to mention, that was before the split. There's a marked difference in connectivity from the first 2 seasons of Agents of SHIELD to now.

At first I felt like he wasn't big enough, but there's a couple other shots I saw where he looks big.

On a separate note: Disney bought a streaming provider. In 3 years they'll pull all of their material off of aggregator sites and produce their own. That means all Marvel Studios movies will be pulled from Netflix. However, the Marvel Netflix shows will remain on Netflix since Netflix pays to produce them.

    Thats good to know.

People went to streaming because it was cheaper than cable but now it could still get expensive if you are a family that likes a bit of everything. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and this Disney thing all provide pretty different things and its like what ~$15 each at minimum? That's why people pirate or just Youtube everything.

Almost to the point with all these separated streaming services might as well just stay with cable

There'll be some over correction but all in all this way is better for the consumer. No more channels you don't need.
