The MVP still has value? Now it's basically a statistical popularity award and not what player meant more to their team and its success.
Westbrook with 50-16-10 to get his 42nd triple double, the most ever in a season, and he hits a game winning 3 at the buzzer. MVP.
I can't possibly understand how some people are still saying they'd give the MVP to Lebron. The Cavs with 3 all stars are barely holding to #1 seed (In The EAST!) and still have a chance to lose it.
this isn't a discussion to me... Westbrook is doing everything for his team and doing something that has not been done in a looooooong time. Dude is my MVP by a landslide
exactly...I know I'm in the minority on this board with my support of james harden, but after the last 2-3 weeks I cant deny that russ deserves the mvp. hope he gets it
jbiggs .... is it like Pau said....was on your parents to raise you better than to support The Beard, and they failed?
They've had great years, and of course they will focus on any advantage they have to get such an award.
Game.Set.Match for MVP Discussion Oh and set a new NBA record with this being his 3rd Triple Double this year when scoring 50+ points
Always wanted him on the Lakers (not that other, former whimp from OKC). Guy leaves it all on the floor, Mamba style.
I mean, this season might be one of the greatest in NBA History by a single player. Westbrook is a Certified G.
i may have been a little clouded by the fact that harden almost single handedly won me my fantasy bball title. now that the euphoria of that is over i see things a little clearer. dont get me wrong, i wouldnt be at all mad if harden won the mvp like some here would be, but god damn russ is on a different level. kobe-esqe in many ways. and i would hate for someone to get it like the year nash did when kobe deserved it
I always liked Westbrook, wanted him as a Laker, but this is the first season where I believe he's probably be a better player than Durant. I guess he needed for it to be his team in order for him to reach his full potential
Russ has been doing everything for this team and has had some incredible clutch runs . OKC would have a worse record than the Nets without him . 1. Westbrook 2. Leonard 3. Haren 4. Lebron
Cavs are having a dissapointed 2017 , Lebron is part of it ( not engaged on D) so he's a distant number 4 in the MVP race for me .... but Cavs can't win a game without him and are much worse with him on the bench
