Most Complete Player Ever = MJ Most Dominant Player Ever = Wilt Most Productive Player Ever = Lebron Most Skilled Player Ever = Kobe Most Clutch Player Ever = Kobe Most BB IQ Player Ever = Magic Most On Fire Player Ever = Kobe Most Wasted Talent Ever = Len Bias Most Underrated Player Ever = I have no idea, I want to say Kareem because I think he's right there with Jordan for GOAT Most Overrated Player Ever = Lebron (Honestly not sure, I might say Duncan) Most Dominant Defender Ever = Rodman Most Annoying Player Ever = Devin Brown, Damon Jones
Most Complete Player Ever = Lebron Most Dominant Player Ever = Jordan Most Productive Player Ever = Jordan Most Skilled Player Ever = Kobe Most Clutch Player Ever = Jordan Most BB IQ Player Ever = Kidd Most On Fire Player Ever = Klay Most Wasted Talent Ever = Shaq Most Underrated Player Ever = Charles Barkley Most Overrated Player Ever = Clyde Drexler Most Dominant Defender Ever = Pippen Most Annoying Player Ever = Doug Christie
Most Complete Player Ever = MJ Most Dominant Player Ever = Shaq Most Productive Player Ever = Wilt Most Skilled Player Ever = Kobe Most Clutch Player Ever = MJ/Kobe. Clutch = more than just hitting big shots. If that's the only criteria, I go with Horry or even Fisher. MJ and Kobe hit impossible shots, made HUGE defensive stops with lockdown perimeter D or blocks or steals, got the enormous rebound out of nowhere, or made the right pass. Most BB IQ Player Ever = Magic Most On Fire Player Ever = Kobe w/ Tmac honorable mention. Most Wasted Talent Ever = Oops meant Len bias? Never saw him, but heard he was going to be special. Most Underrated Player Ever = Baylor or Pistol Pete Most Overrated Player Ever = Chris Paul Most Dominant Defender Ever = Russell Most Annoying Player Ever = laimbeer for his dirtiness and Harden for his flopping.
Most Complete Player Ever = Jordan, extremely efficient, could do everything Most Dominant Player Ever = Shaq, this one was easy Most Productive Player Ever = Lebron Most Skilled Player Ever = Kareem, it was between Kareem and the Dream but went with Cap Most Clutch Player Ever = tough one, got to go with Jordan, but you could argue Kobe or Bird here Most BB IQ Player Ever = Magic, Bird is close but I think Magic has a slight edge. Magic was like an orchestra conductor. Most On Fire Player Ever = Kobe, it will be decades before we see anyone go on those type of scoring outbursts again. Most Wasted Talent Ever = Grant Hill, let me explain this one. He was on his way to being the best basketball player in the game before his ankle was ground to dust. If that injury hadn't had happened, we might arguing whether Grant Hill or Kobe had better careers. Grant Hill was that good. Most Underrated Player Ever = Isaiah Thomas... His team beat 3 of the best teams of all time in beating Jordan's Bulls, our Lakers, and the you know who. People strangely put Stockton and Steph Curry ahead of him for some reason. Isaiah was extremely clutch, skilled and tough as nails. Most Overrated Player Ever = Duncan, I know I'll get disagreements here, but his prime was very short and he just didn't seem that dominant. The only difference between Duncan and KG was luck, KG had to languish on some bad Minnesota teams. KG was arguably better in him prime IMO. Most Dominant Defender Ever = Rodman Most Annoying Player Ever = Danny Ainge, with Lurch, Cornball Maxwell, Wheelchair and other green scum right behind, various floppers, and the new millenium Danny Ainge Delladirty

Most Underrated Player Ever = i used to not think this, but the years say pippen. sentimental choice is dirk. Most Overrated Player Ever = modern guys: harden or wade Most Dominant Defender Ever = rodman or bill russell, like rodman's versatility Most Annoying Player Ever = laimbeer

Another off season, all time type thread to pass the time. Here is an all time NBA: Most ____ Player Ever list. You fill in the blanks with your picks. Most Complete Player Ever = Jordan Most Dominant Player Ever = Abdul-Jabbar (...outlawed the dunk in College to stop him, bad move so he developed The Skyhook) Most Productive Player Ever = Abdul-Jabbar (18 out of 20 seasons at least...) Most Skilled Player Ever = Jordan (wing), Olajuwon (bigs) Most Clutch Player Ever = Bird (tells defenders beforehand too) Most BB IQ Player Ever = Magic Johnson (even with the brain cramps in the 1984 Finals) Most On Fire Player Ever = Kobe Bryant (supernova outbursts Jordan never touched) Most Wasted Talent Ever = Bill Walton Most Underrated Player Ever = Oscar Robertson Most Overrated Player Ever = LeBron James (great player as he is, the hyperbole at times is at ludicrous speed...) Most Dominant Defender Ever = Dennis Rodman...covered all the positions on the floor. Most Annoying Player Ever = I'll go with what Juronimo said...
Regarding Shaq as a wasted talent, I totally get it. But here's a hypothetical. You're Jerry West and you have a magic wand in 1996 the day he signs with the Lakers. You can either: A.) Bless him with the ability to shoot 80%fts the rest of his career. B.) Bless him with karl Malones dedication to keeping himself in shape+tim duncan's mindset of letting Kobe slowly take the reigns.
B. He'd have been a great #2 for so many years. He and Kobe probably finish with 7 rings or something. Let Kobe take the reins and pull the ship and those wasted 05-07 years are probably deep playoff runs. If the Lakers are able to put together another piece with them, we're talking about a good shot at 6-7 rings and 8-9 Finals appearances between 2000-2012.
I'm with realdeal. A motivated Shaq was unstoppable, even without his free throw shooting. Shaq started to let himself go during the 3-peat. I mean, he was still youngish when we traded him. He was only 30 when we won that last ring with him. If he's in shape, he probably doesn't piss off Kobe to where Kobe does his weird Kobe things.
