Soft. Or this era of Lakers are bad at reporting injuries.

May be he re-aggravated it during training or something. I doubt that the Lakers would under-report an injury to this extent.

Unless this is a bone bruise he suffered in Summer League, there's very little chance he's still being affected by a contusion 2+ months later.

This staff wildly overreacts to injury. I understand moving slowly to prevent damage and to promote getting back in the right shape and place physically, but this is ridiculous.

Yikes, what the heck? He's a young guy, is there something we don't know about with that knee? Did he sustain a ligament tear? Even so if it's MCL it should be healed by now.

Turns out it’s just a minor dispute with management. He wants to wear lipstick, but the team said no.

Marshmallow soft... And I don't care if that sounds racist tbh

If not for minutes to be had at the center position, this news wouldn't matter so much.

i wasn't planning on him playing much unless someone else got hurt anyway. troubling how long the injury has lasted, though.

There is more than meets the eye with this one. There has got to be. But I'm not at all ready to call someone soft. Get better Moe, I need to see your smile and great personality out there.

We need another C. One spot left on the roster, right?

No this is exactly what I called. There's no way a soft tissue contusion should take this long to heal, but a bone bruise might. Those are more difficult to predict and I could see him missing another couple of weeks while he heals up proper.

OK help me out here, real. Aside from individual pain tolerance .... say Kobe with this lets-give-benefit-of-doubt and say severe bone bruise .... vs Moe, what are the physical complications that could happen if he played too soon? Why couldn't we have just got him started after SL with a heavy regimen of Oxy for however long it took ;), and put his a** back on the court?

Oxy is not a treatment, it is just a strong pain killer. Using it is a good way to re-injure something or make it worse. Kobe is the last of his breed and more than you can ask of anyone.

A bone bruise can be debilitating pain-wise. It can feel like you have limited mobility. It's very different from a soft tissue contusion.
