As in 2 time champion Odom? Sixth man of the year Odom? The guy who did a good job checking garnett in the finals Odom? This is crazy talk.
Terrible signing , can't defend at all. He's a good scorer off the bench on a lottery team , nothing more .
I think our second unit is going to destroy any second unit in the entire NBA. This team will definitely be the deepest team that we've ever had in many many years. Can't wait for the season to start already!!!!
I really wonder how Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley will play together... LOL In any case, should be a fun 2nd unit to watch.
Another turd on this team... Amazing. This team will be hard to cheer for. A bunch of knuckle heads and career underachievers.
Another one year deal, so no worries. The media and a lot of fans see this as the year BEFORE "the year", right? If there's validity to that, then I'm fine with all of these signings... You can see them as knuckleheads or career underachievers, and that wound be totally rational. I'm choosing to see them as players with talent, nothing to lose, and an IDGAF mentality in terms of going after the Warriors HARD. This may be the only shot at JR Smith type Finals validation for Lance and Beas. For one season before we sign another star I think it's a smart dice roll.
^^^^ I think there is a huge difference between (maybe rigthfully) going all in this season and signing 2 useless such as Stephenson and Beasley plus not having a starting center on the roster. Hopefully the Lebron effect on the kids ( and their own improvements) will be huge , roster moves might happen after Dec 15th but this team is not looking like a WCF contender which should be the goal in year 1.... more like a 45-50 wins team.
The Denver Nuggets last year won 46 games. The Spurs won 47 games. The Pelicans won 48 games. I think we're better than all three of those teams. I don't think the Rockets and the Blazers have the same type of darling year they had last season either.
Houston lost two best defensive forwards... Portland was exposed last season when New Orleans forced the ball out of Lillard's hands which Rondo had something to do with.
I think a lot of people haven’t followed Beasley the last couple years. He’s actually a pretty easy guy to root for at this point in his career. He’s acknowledged and has tried to address his personal issues, improved his D, and accepts his role on teams. He can also put up 25 in a quarter at times. Beasley is a little redundant for us, but I’ll have no problem cheering for this guy.
A successful season IMO would have home court in the Playoffs and getting to the 2nd round, where either Houston or Golden State will be waiting and giving them a run for their money. But I'm actually more interested in the effect LeBron will have in the development of the "Young guys". The Rondo and Ball narrative is intriging as well. The Playoff experience will be great for what I think is one of the steps for year 2. Imagine getting that 2nd star and then having our younger core with playoff level experience as well as what LeBron and other vets contributed to their growth ? So I'm excited about this year, which I call the "gelling year" but I'm really excited about how it will all come together in year 2 tbh. Now when you sign someone like LeBron your goal is automatically Championship or bust, but realistically for a new team that will have their good and bad moments,I think the 2nd or 3rd round would be a great accomplishment for a team in their first year. I think management beleives it will be precursor for year 2.
