I would rather strike out entirely in 2019 free agency than trade for Wall. If you strike out at least you can wait for 2020, or try and trade for Davis or something. If you trade for Wall you are done, like DONE making any moves of any consequence for half a decade. Hell no.

So John Wall's contract situation is what everybody in the NBA wants for everybody to be competitive. Awesome...

If they make a decision not to take a chance on free agency, Beal is the perfect complement to Lebron's game. Wall cant shoot either.

I would absolutely love it if we could somehow figure out how to get Beal for preferably just Ingram and maybe Pope.

Like you said, I think he would be perfect next to LeBron. If we could keep the rest of the team, I don’t even think we would need to add anyone else, although I’d make room for Davis

I like Wall’s game, he’s one of the more playmaker type point guards than most others in the league but that contract is a huge turnoff. We’d better be paud handosmely for saving the Wizards if we get Wall from them.

Magic and Pelinka didn't work extremely hard to create 38 million in free space next summer to trade for John wall. Trust me it's KD/Kawhi/Klay that will end up a Lakers. Heck even kemba. The 4 K's is the way!

    This!

I would be shocked if they made a move that ate into our cap next summer...unless it's for a guy that we're going to use it on. But at this point a Kawhi or KD midseason trade is unlikely.

Here's a thought...maybe the Lakers are doing Rich/Klutch a solid (see Kcp blimped 1yr contracts) by allowing them to float our names in Wall deals so that it generates whatever little buzz it can to get dude to NY.

The only guy on that roster I'm interested in is Beal. If we can add Beal while keeping enough assets to snag AD, then I do it. For example, Kuz, Hart and picks. Tnen send Ball and Ingram to New Orleans.

If your team starts with Beal, Lebron and AD it doesn't matter who the other 5 dudes are that will fill out your roster. Chandler on a one year deal. Rondo on a one year deal. That team crushes.

Why must you continue to try and trade away Hart? Just what exactly did he do to you?

    Absolutely do not want Wall.

    Under no circumstance.

Imo he is immovable with his radio active contract.

Unless you are team in a crap market desperate for a star that could never get one in FA.

    Clippers fit your description.

They are in a great (Lakers) market.

I don't WANT to trade him. But if you give my Lebron/Beal/Davis, I can contend with the Warriors.

For those wondering where Real has been... dudes been here the whole time.

Glad you eased up on the BI for Beal thing.

BI is reserved for either a AD, Giannis, Kawhi or KD deal. Sending BI out for any other name sets us back on the 3max player plan via our cap next summer.

Btw, Kuz for Beal is a no go for me too. I'm aware Beal is a good lil player...but imho he isn't "the" player to trade our core kiddies for.

You do know that AD and Beal are very much injury proned. I think our best plan is to retain all the youngins and sign another Max contract next year. Build from within and add stars is the best way. Our best case scenario is build a Juggernaut defensive minded team:

Sign Kawhi, keep McGee, Tyson, Rondo and hopefully if we get Ariza somehow keep him.

Lonzo, has a healthy off season and works his butt off on his offensive shortcomings.

Kuz, BI, Hart, Svi, Bonga and Wagner continue to get stronger and continue to work hard in the off season.

    Defense wins championships.

    Zo
    Kawhi
    Ingram
    LeBron
    McGee

    Super bench:

    Rondo/Bonga
    Hart/draft pick
    Ariza/Svi
    Kuzma/draft pick
    Tyson/Wagner

    That's my ideal off-season.
