    You know, I can't help but laugh at how Magic turned this franchise around a little over a year after taking it over. Mainly because of how Jim Buss used to half-assed say, "LeBron's coming here next year" and us wind up with Deng, while Magic literally brings in The King like it's nothing.

    To sum it up: Magic gives Jim the boot, trades one of the worst contracts we had, drafts a game changing PG and the steal of 2017, and ultimately brought the best player in the world here.

    Never, ever doubt Mr. Earvin Johnson.

    Magic and Rob delivered. If they do nothing else they did something the previous FO could not do, get a superstar to sign here. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we started hearing rumblings of LeBron already thinking about coming to LA last summer either, I think the FO became infinitely more appealing when Jim was ousted and Magic and then Rob were brought in. Magic called his own shot, he said it’s a failure if he doesn’t get someone by next summer. Well he got someone, and the Lakers now have the best player in the league again, which we haven’t been able to say since Kobe’s achilles snapped. The man is just successful, from our drafts, to our trades, to our signings. He wasn’t even supposed to still be alive right now, and he’s out here saving the Lakers.
