Actually, I would not object to Wade at this point. Depending on the contract length, obviously.

Nice rebound Lakers front office from July 1, 2016 12:01am EST. This is a move that makes sense.

I believe that was after Miami moved Deng to the 4 spot after Bosh had to be sidelined again with the blood clots. He really flourished at power forward. We know Luke wants to go small so that's another guy that helps with that. We can eventually trot out a lineup of D'Lo, JC, Ingram, Deng, and Randle or Nance Jr. Not bad.

Lol I was thinking the same thing, I'm hoping the Lakers can pull off what the raiders are doing
right now and get back on track.

Dang! We got Deng? Offseason is looking better now. I've loved this guy for years. Now finally a Laker. I remember that Bulls game several years ago when he literally torched us from all sides. Made the game winning shot too I believe. Contract year I think. I'm thinking: he's auditioning to be a Laker. Nice! I likes it.

The 1st one did too. Walton and Shaw got who they wanted.... (probably) if Horford wasn't coming, nor Whiteside (was he ever really a target and wanted with the "character" issues???) (we know Howard wasn't)

Woot!! We finally got Deng! And we didn't have to trade Kobe for him!!!

Lame jokes aside, that's a great veteran addition to the roster.

Now this is a signing I can be happy about. Yes, he's 31 and it's a lot for 4 years, but he can actually play and he will be a great locker room guy and leader/vet for this young team. Now Deng can start at the 3 and Ingram doesn't have to be thrown into the fire, because I don't think his body is NBA ready for that yet. No Deng, no deal, it finally happened.

these dollar amounts wow. Good signing though, we now have a great 3 and D guy, something we haven't had in a while. Deng is a consummate professional and a lunch pail type who will be a good influence on the youngins. Hes the anti Nick Young.

Good move for a 2 way player.

Great cutter, good shooter from corners/wings.

Slowing down a bit defensively, but still solid.

And of course, great presence in the locker room - especially for Ingram (also both Dukies, doesn't hurt)

They actually made a good signing. Nice rebound by the Lakers. He's a perfect fit, he can play the stretch 4 and he can defend multiple positions

Nice signing, I like the player. Veteran presence who the young guys can respect and look up to. The $$ is a bit much, but the price is going up for everybody with a higher cap so that's inevitable. If we stretch Nick, we still have 23 to 25 million to spend on 4 players.

What I also love from this signing is that if Luke decides to play small ball, which I believe we will do a lot this season, Deng becomes that stretch 4 in that scenario. Depending on who we put at 5, it could be Black, D'Lo will have a lot of options on the perimeter. D'lo is also a pretty good shooter from 3, so teams have to respect that. This signing opens things up on the offensive end.
