    We've yet to see the end of Deng's contract so it's a little premature to be comparing it to Nash's, but boy is it a close race to see which is worse.

    On the one hand, Nash's was more reasonable to me. He was coming off an All-Star year and at the time seemed to fit as a guy who could not only take the ball out of Kobe's hands, but fit next to the best pick and roll big in the game with Dwight Howard. On paper, the move made a ton of sense. Especially because if it had worked out the way it was supposed to, those picks wouldn't have hurt as much at all. I still think if Nash would have been healthy, we'd view that deal differently and on some levels it's unfair to judge him for being hurt. Although I'm still bitter he played JUST ENOUGH to get his contract guaranteed and avoid medical retirement. That was a d*** move.

    This Deng deal though... he's overpaid for his position, declined in production at a precipitous rate, not providing the vaunted leadership role he was supposed to, and now he's not even playing... His deal is for THREE more years?? Oh man...

    I stole this link from @LTLakerFan because the Deng stuff stuck out to me more than the Ingram stuff.

    He came into this season working hard? Yikes. He looked overweight and was struggling to keep up on defense more than ever. I was excited to have him here and he did nothing. He has a lot of people to "shut up"? Okay guy. You better come into camp with a few less beers around your midsection then. You better come into camp with a three point shot that doesn't look like a French Revolution era catapult. You better come in with some defensive footwork.

    Or better yet, don't come in at all. Hopefully the Magic still want him.

    Deng was just so surprising because he's always been known as a real pro. He can't be worse, so hopefully he has a bounce back year. I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'll at least give the guy a puncher's chance. He'll never be worth the $18M per year, but maybe he won't be completely worthless.

    he's pinning it on the coach/system/management/other players. basically everyone but him. you're going to run out of fingers to point, luol.

    how about you lay off the cheeseburgers and serve as a good caddy for ingram next year? because your a** isn't getting traded into a better situation. you cemented that with your play. be like lou: perform, and you can be delivered to something you'd prefer.

    eh, i like mozgov. he came in and did what he was asked to do. he wasn't out of shape, and he didn't experience some sort of dramatic drop off in his game. not his fault someone offered him a ton of money.

    If Zu has developed as we hope over this summer and is the starting center out of the box next year then Moz has a lot of value BB wise as a backup. He's a starting (if ordinary) or borderline starter qualified 5 in the league. And we'll see what his professional pride brings him into camp looking like, same as Deng. All these guys are healthy going into the off season. No excuses.

    Moz is only a quality starting C if youre a bad or medicore team, no good team who are playoff contenders would willingly start a player like Moz.....Clev figured it out, i would even be willing to bet Clev wouldn't have wanted him back at half the $ we paying to be their backup

    I still can't believe I wanted him this past summer. Thought he would be a perfect stand in while Ingram develops and be a great vet presence for these kids.

    Give it a rest. We know. Just saying he can be possibly a hell of a back up where you don't lose size, quickness, running the floor for a big man, the ability to bang some against larger opponents or being able to shoot decently away from the basket. How many teams have that? Often size or skills are lacking in the backup. There may still be some things he does better than Zu. Small ball center is something else we have with a number of options.

    When we're ever good again maybe youll think twice, that is my pt. Hes acceptable cause our options are limited and we're not a good team stop with the quickness stuff, this guy only gets up on O, he is terrible defender especially PnR, Zu isnt any better but he has an excuse, hes young.
