The wildcard spot if starting to get away from us, but Calgary are the ones closest in points to us in our division where we can sneak into the playoffs. We're 2 points behind with a game in hand, and we need to start putting another little streak together with them losing.

The odd loss to the Senators through this team into a rut and dropped those 3 critical games after that 8 game run. Even though we lost in OT against the Penguins, Calgary just lost to Ottawa as well in OT.

Need the Ducks to beat the Canucks tonight and a win on Tuesday to tie up Calgary in points and come within 1 of Vancouver. It's going to be a tight run to the playoffs.

I'm hoping Pearson is coming back soon, we need a little more depth in the scoring outside of Carter-Gaborik-Tofolli. And definitely could use Martinez back as well.

Ducks probably through the game last night to make sure they don't have to play us in the playoffs.

Starting to get production outside of Gabo-Carter now.

We can thank the Blues for that wild win against the Jets. Blues had the game, gave it up in the 3rd, and made a wild center ice toss in shot with 1 minute left to take it putting us 1 point behind the Jets WITH 1 game in hand for that wildcard spot.

Ducks play the Flames tonight, so need Flames to lose as we are tied with them in points and games played, but they have the tiebreaker. And then we have a division matchup again the Canucks on Thursday for a big 4 point switch. Need to keep playing strong.

Back in the wildcard 1 point ahead of the Jets AND a game in hand. Tied in points with the Flamers, but they have the differential tiebreaker. With the win over the Canucks, we pull within 1 point of them as well.

Meanwhile, that good looking Nashville team early in the season has been slipping hard. The Ducks haven't been playing well either.

Games like last night, while great to watch, are frustrating as hell. We made 'Nucks look helpless. I know we do something like this every year, but this years seems worse for some reason. Maybe because the bottom teams we used to pass before are continuing to win.

Ugh we keep giving up the lead in the 3rd quarter and losing in OT. The Kings are 3-14 in OT this year. Even if we win only half of those losses we'd be 7 more points ahead. 14 points left on the table. We got a much needed point but we have to do better in the 3rd periods.

This team does better with their backs against the wall rather than being ahead. It's so strange.

Last year, we went down 0-2 multiple times and dug ourselves out. Not that I like going down 0-2, but this team needs a swift kick in the butt right to wake up and play hard all 60 minutes.

As good as Shore has been on faceoffs, we need Pearson/Richards back.

Our up coming schedule is BRUTAL. We play the Hawks, 'Nucks, Wild and both NY squads in our next 6. How far away is Pearson? I thought he was supposed to be back right about now. I thought I read he was skating again.

Keep in mind, the Ducks are pretty ridiculous in the 3rd period.

The Hawks have been playing well, even without Kane back, but it's a little easier to swallow without Kane. We have been KILLING the Canucks all season long, we just matchup with them really well. We have two more games with them and I think we take both. The Islanders have been becoming a little more humble than what their record says they have. Rangers have been playing well without Lundqvist, but again, it's easier to swallow without Henrik there. The Wild have been tearing. it. up.

Strangely, we've been doing pretty well on the road this second half of the season so I expect a better showing from these boys.

As for Pearson, hockey never really reveals a return for players, as they never reveal what the injury is, they just show up, and there they are on the ice. But for now, 12 games left, we need to call Richards back up and get him back in the groove with the lines because the Kopi and Carter lines have been solid, but there is such a significant drop off on the next lines we need to start getting more production from those veteran guys.

Yeah. Pearson is going to come back on the Carter line. Richards forgetting how to play hockey has hurt us pretty bad.

That was all thanks to Kopi, who has kicked into another gear that last couple games. Late, but we're going to need every bit of it.

Martinez back is a sight for sore eyes. Richards being back I think is picking up their morale.

    Every season.

We didn't qualify for playoffs in 2012 until the 5th game of the end, and 2014 I think it took until the last game.

This team has to play with their backs against the wall or something. Up 2-0, we'll blow the lead. Down 1-0 early, the fight turns on.

Frustrating, but at the same, so exciting to watch these guys fight back.

Flames lost in a shootout tonight. Would've preferred a regulation loss, but this is our chance. A win against the Islanders puts us ahead by a point.

    GKG!

Doing the math, we can lose one more game this season or tie two as long as it's not the Flames game. We do that, we're in.

    Just win, win, win.

Everything will take of itself. Looking for the Wild to take out the Flames tonight who.

LOL these guys live for going down early. 1-0 down against the Islanders, and they didn't even look back.
