So about those new Zo sneakers... probably untouchable too...

Those s***s need to stay the f*** away from anyone's ankles.

The way he couldn't put any weight on it initially, tells me it's significant and he could be out for a lengthy amount of time. I'd be surprised if he wasn't...

Man this sucks. He was ballin. I bet it'll take him another month or two to regain form when he gets back.

Imagine how good Lonzo would be if had the entire summer to work on his game. These nagging injuries are stunting his growth significantly.

    6 weeks... Wow

Looks like another lost season for Ball...how is he supposed to progress if he gets hurt bi-monthly.

He should seriously reconsider those sneakers.

Are we really going to get on Lonzo for a freak ankle injury? He hasn’t missed a single game this season, he played 47 straight before this injury. Last time he twisted his ankle this season he started the next game. This sucks, but I’m not gonna be mad at the kid. What sucks most of all is what everyone is pointing out, he was really starting to play well, he was controlling the offense well and had 11 assists before getting hurt last night.

well, i think the injury-prone tag is definitely applicable at this point, though.

as I said in the game time, he needs to stop wearing those bbb shoes. wear nikes or something that is more dependable. nobody is gonna buy those overpriced shoes.

If somebody gave me a pair, I would wear them anywhere outside the house except on a basketball court in a game.

I do remember a Phil Jackson-Ron Artest banter before about the latter's choice of footwear and fortunately, I found a source:

And no call on the obvious foul. If it was Harden that would have been 3 shots because clearly he was shooting while on the way down to grab his ankle.

This Sucks. For sure they were his brand shoes? I thought he stopped wearing them early on last year. Probably having to for marketing reasons. Already LaVar's had to slash what a couple hundred off the price? Can't imagine with that the quality coming out of the production line and materials used is elite construction and support for an NBA player, especially one with the hops of Lonzo.

Anyone know first hand or have a friend that has a pair of BBBs?

watch the youtube video but go to Settings (the gear/wheel)> Speed > 0.25 and watch @ 1:00 in slow-mo, that shoe was practically coming off his foot as he extends it prior to the roll. There is a gap or opening in the side wall of the shoe where the ankle is that is very pronounced. You don't see that on LBJ's nikes.

I'm amazed all the years I played ball as a kid, HS and p/u games while going to college I never rolled an ankle or came down on someone's foot. Thank gawd. I did once running across a yard in the 6th grade and stepped into a sprinkler hole and rolled it inward like Zo. Cost me the second half of a little league season during the summer. Hurt like hell no surprise to anyone I'm sure. Swelled up like a sumb****.

We need to stop the panic, did everyone forget we still have Alex Caruso and Bonga after him? :p

All I can say at this point is we'll see, if Zo doesn't get traded (unlikely since now his value is so degraded) we'll see how he does the rest of the season and playoffs before dubbing him injury prone. He's a youngster playing high minutes, they get tired and make sloppy mistakes that lead to this type of thing. But beyond that, thank God for Rob and Magic's foresight and acquisition of Rondo. That may be the difference of a playoff slot or not this year. Get back soon RR

Damn. Looked bad when it happened and afterwards. Grade three is no joke. We'll need one of Bron, Rondo or Zo to return before we win a game I think.
