Since no forum is right without the great, the one and only, the magnificent, the sacrificing, the super-duper awesomest team player of the world we have to have the LEBRON thread. Right? I think so.

Did you hear he needs to take games off this season to be rested for the playoffs? 2 years into his Prime and he needs breaks. I want to SMH but I wont right now. OK. Bye. :heartbreak:

Can't believe they're talking about rest with this guy and he's not even 30 years old. Unless he's older than that...

I guess he has had four long seasons with four straight finals appearances but I haven't heard Tony Parker complain before.

Yeah but to be honest Parker gets a lot of rest from Pop and sits out games. But LeBron is already getting on my nerves again and these season hasn't even started yet ...

To be fair, he'll be 30 soon and has played a ton more minutes than others around his age.

I heard on Max and Marcellus that he lost up to 50 pounds and that Melo lost 30 pounds. :wondering:

My enthusiasm for this season was pretty high, just to have NBA ball back in general and see Lakers training camp on NBA TV. Then I see ESPN reporting on the Cavs first preseason game already, and I'm not gonna lie, my enthusiasm dipped. The Heat and their "Index" are gone from espn, and now we're back to the Cavs, it's such a god dang joke. There are other teams in the NBA, like I dunno, the defending champs?

I had to stop following Dave McMenamin on Twitter because he got reassigned to Cleveland so all his posts are about LeBron now

I feel like a lot of Euros have played just as much, if not more. Between their annual yearly obligations to their country and then post season play for the NBA team they play for...I can't recall any of them having to rest at 29.

Its a damn shame IMO that they are talking games off for Lebron. I can understand the fatigue of going to the Finals that many time but the guy is IN HIS PRIME. In the playoffs he took most quarters off especially the 4th on most days. I guess it really irks me cause all we hear about is this "freak of nature player who has all the tools etc" needing time off. Can you imagine if it was KD saying this? He would get crucified in the media but not Lebron

50 lbs? There's no way. I know with his first stint with Cleveland he was pushing 275 and then he dropped down to around 245-250 with Miami. I don't see him weighing in at around 200 lbs this season.

Still can't stand that guy... Happy to see some of the other haters on board .

I am really curious how he plays this season. He has some unproven talent on that team and it seems he will be forced to actually lead, especially in the PO. If he doesn't take over at least to some extent in the end of close games, who else will? Don't see any candidates at this moment.

I have some friends who expect the Cavs to win the trophy this season. IMO they would need a ton of luck and somebody to make major step forward in the leadershp department for that to happen

Is this a mutual decision by both LeBron and the team, or something the team is trying to do? I suppose it doesn't really matter, its ridiculous for a professional basketball player of his age and talent to require rest. The greats must be rolling over in their graves!

Poor David Blatt. He is not going to bend and will be out of the NBA by the end of the season, barring championship (not happening).

I don't get why James has to take games off to "save" himself. I mean it's not like he had to go through no prisoners defensive reincarnations of Detroit and New York during his Eastern run. In retrospect, the 2010 Those Guys weren't THAT tough either.
