Somebody didn't play well in the 4th against an Isaiah Thomas-less Boston slime team...

Not to be that Laker fan that can't let it go, but games like last night's are why there's still many fans that would pick Kobe over LeBron. There's not much anyone can say at this stage to take away much from LeBron. He'll go down as one of the greats, but history won't remember enough of these moments. LeBron habitually shrinks when the going gets tough. When it looks like victory might not be in the cards, he packs it in and starts looking for someone else to take the shot.

Every LeBron fan always goes back to the series he had against Detroit years ago as an example of him not giving up, but what about the rest of his career? All those rings and there's clear, obvious moments when other players earn the big moments for him. Last year it was Kyrie that buried the dagger, not LeBron.

All said and done, I'll stick with Kobe or Jordan or Magic or Kareem as my top pick. Someone else can take LeBron.

I complete agree. He only had 11 points on 13 shots. Kobe or Jordan would have never let themselves end with that few attempts. They would have had easily triple that doing whatever it took to win that game. I'll take that any day of the week. Give him credit for at least owning up to the fact that his teammates brought it but he didn't. I'm sure he'll come back with a 40-something game to close out the series.

I mean already hearing excuses for him about that game, he was tired.

Uhh, he had a week of rest off in between each series. He sat out games during the season to rest. Gtfo

I'd be real curious to see how many Kobe had and of those games, if he had any, what year was it?

    Please and thank you.

Kobe had 3 games with 15 or less. Kobe had 0 games with 10 or less.

I posted this in the NBA Playoffs Discussion thread about whether LBJ should be considered the greatest.

My response to that question would be NO, but.. I can see where some might put him on the same level as Kobe if he beats the GSW this year.

GSW's stars - Curry, Durant, Draymond, & Klay need to all be healthy too which they currently are. Yes Kobe has 5 rings and LBJ would have 4 but LBJ will also has the stats/awards whether we like it or not and whether its completely far being in the East or not.

I hope he doesn't win anything else and is stuck with 3 rings because then I can say Kobe is still better with confidence.

I'm a die-hard Laker fan, and I don't like Lebron, but what he is doing is amazing. Kobe is more talented because such a huge part of what makes Lebron great is his strength/size/quickness combination, but Lebron is more dominant than Kobe.

Statistically LeBron is definitely far ahead of Kobe, and I'm a die hard Laker fan too, however as an overall player in the way that their accolades where accomplished I have to give Kobe the edge. He made up so much ground and his path to his rings, and awards is far more impressive considering what he had to go up against. LeBron has no equal.

And Kobe is less athletically gifted, and built and for Kobe to do what he did with half of LeBron's athleticism and muscle is amazing.

LeBron is super great, great player, and will finish top 3 in his career, but I just can't give him GOAT label. I can't even give him a notch over Kobe despite him having more awards in other areas. Even if he does contribute to beating Golden State again this season with Durant. But, he will definitely be one of the top 3 greatest, I can't take that from him.

Kobe's in James's neighborhood as an athlete in his prime and not that far below Jordan, without his huge hands, or having Lebron's size and strength. Just talking strictly athletically
