LaVar knows how to press a lot of people's buttons and it keeps his family business on people's lips. It's the Kardashian formula except at least one person in this family has some actual talent. When you get all upset at the ridiculous things he says and respond to them in media then he's played you. Pure and simple.

If you ignore him, he loses. I like the guy and of course I think what he just said is nonsense but he believes he thinks things into existence so maybe he thinks up some lofty things. So what. When you see him dropping the family fortune in Vegas this year on the Lakers to win it all then you can count him as certifiable. He won't. He's was richer than most people we know without any of his kids having an NBA contract yet. Whether it's a façade, a partial one, or full-on BS, the LaVar Show works.

He’ll be silent as a tomb as he should be so he can focus on being a parent.

Not sure what LiAngelo was thinking...

...and the hits keep coming. :)

Seriously, wtf was he thinking? There are tons of kids out there at his age who wouldn't do such a thing given their position and the chance afforded him. Disappointing.

Bet he won't pop off with one of his over the top comments about his boy vs the Chinese authorities ......

    :Noddingyes:

Is LaVar going to home school him too for his college degree and advanced basketball training when UCLA (I would think) regrettably has to kick those guys off the team for being bad characters and causing the international incident which will find those kids lucky to avoid prison time if they were caught red handed?

Has China put out a video yet? This seems like a way theyre grasping the attention as well. All over some f***ing sun glasses. 20 officers came and s***. Sounds like immaturity on both sides TRYING to make a huge deal out of the situation.

Yeah, seems overblown. But China doesn't care about the Ball family. It's the US / China relations and they can milk this. Ugly Americans come over and steal from us and we won't put up with it (nor should they). Posturing. I'm sure it'll all blow over.

Would like to see a video of Gelo stealing. I don't see why he'd steal some sunglasses, but at that age, first time on his own, I won't bet against it either.

Sounds like lil man or in this case lil country syndrome. Im seriously waiting for Donald trump to come out and say no Chinese have ever stolen here before and in that possible similar circumstance/process they were probably handled with the next time around were gonna f*** you..Were sitting here talking about sunglasses man; Not a car, not breaking in a house and stealing, but allegedly sunglasses.

Sunglasses? We talking' bout sunglasses? LOL. Easy 10 years hard labor Chinese prison work crew. Sunglasses? Well s*** now I don't know maybe Ball and his partners in crime escape the axe from the UCLA basketball program? What a freaking bad decision and turn of events for these kids if they get booted. I hope not, for that. Just really clueless and entitled behavior.

Look, you don’t f*** around in China, you just don’t. They allegedly have video of the kids stealing, and if they did, they’re compete morons. You don’t steal period, but you especially don’t steal in China. Were they really not informed to be careful of this sort of thing before the trip? If not, that’s awful on UCLA’s part, this should never have been allowed to happen. Are kids today really that uninformed on how the world works in a lot of places outside the U.S.? Did 3 guys in the mid 6 foot range and up think they wouldn’t stick out in a store? I can’t even with this story, if they did it I’d kick them off the team.
