He's looking much better after being out a month. The glue for the second unit.

He erases a lot of mistakes defensively just by being the only guy in the correct position to affect a play.

Nance and Zu are our most effective front court players on both ends of the floor.

I love that even when he makes a mistake or bad turnover, you can tell it bugs him and he owns it

I think this is the best nickname I have heard for Larry Nance yet: 'Nance The Baptist'

When he makes a good play (dunks on a player - baptizes him) you could say "Nance went biblical on his a**"

I cannot take credit for this as I heard it on the Laker Film Room telecast during the Lakers-Knicks game and thought it was perfect.

    "biblical on his a**"

    :Kobe Snickering:

    How about just "the Baptist"

    Too Biblical.

I still love Nance a Lot and Sisterhood of the Traveling Nance.

It's a nickname. Has to fly off the tongue. You expect announcers and fellow players to roll all that out every time? :Crazyartest: In the reference Battle gave for it, shortening it to just the Baptist is way much better. Raspberry sound.

SHOOT THE BALL BRO. Seriously you can't play in close games in the 4th if you refuse to take wide open 10 foot shots.

If any of the other young guys on this team said this I'd probably roll my eyes and shake my head. Not Larry.

I thought Larry played a great game tonight. He shouldn't beat himself up for not being able to stop Cousins down the stretch. No one on our team could. Everyone got worked in that department and Larry never got much help down low.

In other news - Cousins is very, very, very good. Dominant performance tonight.

This kid is a coach's dream. Does all the little things and takes responsibility on the floor? That noise you hear is 3000 college coaches swooning.

Son of a really good former player
    He has Chron's disease
Stayed 4 years at a school like Wyoming - and stuck it out despite a tough start
Tore his ACL junior year in college
He worked hard to raise his draft stock and end up pick #27
Continues to work hard and stay hungry

You have a combination of a solid upbringing, dealing with adversity and rising above, and a real humility and appreciation for his situation. Coaches could only dream of their young talent having this kid's heart, drive and character.

No one can guard Cousins and the 64 million dollar man we hired to stop people like Cousins is pretty much useless. Not Larry's fault.
