LaMarcus Aldridge Could Be Traded By Spurs This Season

LaMarcus Aldridge signed with the San Antonio Spurs in 2015 and had a successful first season but there could be some issues that lead to him eventually being traded.

The Boston C Bags are in a position to trade for a player of Aldridge's caliber, should he become available, due to the value of the players on their roster and future picks.

"Sources were telling me the other day that LaMarcus Aldridge may not even finish the year with the Spurs. That experiment hasn't quite worked out the way they'd hoped. I think there's going to be a lot of shifting around. That (Nets) pick is going to be very, very valuable."

Macmullen was asked if she thinks the C Bags should trade for him if possible.

"No, not after what I heard the other day," said Macmullen laughing. "No, of course, you would take him on if you could because he's an automatic double-double but there's some stuff going on maybe."

Looks like Comcast took the article down. Probably because it's irresponsible reporting.

Randle/Lou for LMA would be beautiful.

That's now two spots where LMA has started friction with demanding more of the ball. I'm not sure I want a guy that the Spurs feel isn't necessarily a team player.

LMA looked like a taller Boris Diaw last season. He looked really out of shape.

This is BS at it's finest. LMA knew exactly what he was getting himself into when he signed with the Spurs. The Spurs don't promote individual play. Even my wife knows that.

He's 31 years old. I wouldn't have minded acquiring him in FA, but I'm hesitant to give up any young guys for him. The only guy I might part with is Randle.

It would take Randle and a price match like Deng or Mozgov.

I'm not sure I'm interested though. He wants to maybe leave the Spurs so he can dominate the ball more and be "the guy"? I don't want that on this team. We just got away from that.

Yeah .... yeah ...... sure. The Spurs are on to you sirron and know you're a trouble maker. :Magic Brows: They've of course denied it.

I don't disagree with you, but a team can't rebuild solely on draft picks and lower-rung FA's either.

Hopefully, Mitch has his eye on trade targets that are under the radar.

I think he will. I think Yi's contract will be a big part of that. Hayward is someone to keep an eye on. I think Cousins is still in play. Anthony Davis could be an interesting play at this point. Are the Pelicans content to continue waiting on him?

I'm also down to take on some bad contracts if it nets us a pick. Do the Suns want to dump Tyson Chandler? I'd gladly take him off their hands if they include a 1st with him.

The last FA who gave the Lakers a courtesy meeting. He signed to a team which basically got a duplicate/better system player the season after. C Bags will also get a duplicate player unless they give Horford in return.

Aldridge is a ball stopper on offense as he likes to gauge his defender for his scoring plus he was used to being the focal point as he was with Portland. I really don't believe San Antonio will give up on him this fast. Aldridge will play better in Popovich's system this year. There is also the presence of Gasol that will take the pressure off him.

You get what you deserve. I couldn't care less about Aldridge's feelings in SA.
