With Lin now starting, We need Young back more than ever. Can't rely on Price, Clarkson, Randle, every night as scorers.

I definitely respect yall aboves opinions&do agree w/what yall said, but at the same time with the offense being run through Kobe,Lin slashing etc,I think the offense is missing a deadly 3 PT shooter which lets agree Wesley Johnson is not. I know bench takes a hit but thats why I think its crucial to trade for a LEGIT SF if we get approved for DPE..even if trade doesnt happen, its not like the second unit all goes in at once. Price/Clarkson, Henry/Clarkson,Kelly,Randle&Davis. Thoughts?

Well Young was one of our best three point threats last season. A bench of Lin/Clarkson/Young/Kelly/Davis has plenty of outside shooting in my opinion.

I'm not sure what we need more help at SF or PG. I hope they end up getting somebody though. The injury bug has already hit and we need some help with depth.

Just let that hand heal Nick. I'm sure we can manage 10-15 games.

What I meant was we have solid enough depth that Young should start&be our deadly 3pt shooter to spread the floor... whose going to be scared of Wesley Johnson? Not me if I was the other team. I just feel thats an easy way for teams to double while playing zone or clog up the paint-20ft area.

True, but the problem is kind of what we said earlier in the season. If Nash was ever healthy he needs to start instead of Lin because Lin is better when he has more freedom to attack. With Kobe that'll be limited somewhat.

With Nick, he's like Kobe Jr. He needs a lot of looks to get into a rhythm. With Kobe on the floor we can't have two high volume shooters, the offense will stall and only run through them. Off the bench we've got Kobe Jr. and teams will have to respect him as a legitimate scoring threat. It'd help the starting unit to have a better three point shooter, but I think it maximizes the whole team to have Young off the bench.

I give in and I agree haha. We need to use that DPE on a 3pt shooter with solid defense to replace Johnson IMO than, no questions asked. It would open up the lanes and make teams respect us outside of the paint. Im sure Mitch knows this and is doing his homework while doing his best to be silent about the noise.

Another thing too is Kobe apparently has taken Johnson under his wing. There's a good possibility that Kobe is sticking up for Wesley a little bit. I'm sure if Mitch can find a replacement that's worth it, he'll pull the trigger. But unless there's an urgent need I expect Mitch will defer to Kobe's wishes for a while here. Especially since we can't make any moves at the moment anyway.

I think Johnson can be really great as a cutter to try and practically attempt to dunk every drive to the basket,at worse pick up body contact for a foul. We all know hes athletic enough, im going to pray for him. Perhaps ive been a little too hard on him,its a new year and hopefully he has a new attitude/approach towards the new year to make the most of his opportunities. Also want to see relentless D from him at the BARE MINIMUM.

I think this is one of the main reasons Wes is back this year getting another shot. Remember in the offseason the FO was hinting that he wouldn't return, but then he ended up getting a chance for the minimum. I did want to keep him if that was the case - for minimum only. I am still rooting for him to do well this year of course. He had that horrible 8 turnover game and choked at the line, but since then he's put together a couple of very nice, under control games where he shot well and did what he was supposed to on defense. I openly questioned his smarts for this level of ball, and the concerns are still there. But if the last couple games were an indicator he may turn this around. Kobe's mentorship of him this summer was great and he and Scott certainly seem to have some faith in the kid.
