Loving him in this role, and was looking for him in the last game to provide a boost of energy.

That's a serious paradigm shift for me and many other fans. Looking forward to seeing him come in and play.....

It's TRUE. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. (In the starting lineup)

It's a little easier for bigs to hit their target, and it's a little harder for wings. If a wing hits 95, they're playing very, very well (at least on offense). There are bigs who hit 80 who could still be relatively inefficient.

Here's a look at four years of Jordan Clarkson

    Clarkson
    Season Scoring / Passing / Hustle / Position(PG/Wing)
    1. 5.82 / 3.40 / 2.57 // 75(73)
    2. 5.79 / 2.58 / 2.49 // 60(63)
    3. 5.89 / 2.77 / 2.25 // 63(65)
    4. 6.67 / 3.17 / 2.31 // 79(83)

Until this season, JC was essentially the same player from a scoring efficiency standpoint, and I expect this current SCOFF to decrease, but he has at least returned some semblance of PG skills to his game. Less than 3.0 is not good for a guy who handles the ball as much as he does.

    Here are Julius Randle's numbers:

    Randle
    1. 3.43 / 1.25 / 1.21 // 20
    2. 5.43 / 2.36 / 2.94 // 71
    3. 5.79 / 3.21 / 2.91 // 81
    4. 6.34 / 2.60 / 3.02 // 86

His scoring has been trending up, so it might remain higher, but I don't expect it to stay at 6.34 (hard to say; coming off the bench means different matchups), but Randle has overall made some strides. He's probably okay in most starting lineups, and this season's scoring/passing split is probably the best use of his skills.

    Larry Nance
    1. 4.72 / 1.80 / 3.33 // 66(BIG)
    2. 4.99 / 2.45 / 3.57 // 78(BIG)
    3. 5.93 / 1.84 / 3.62 // 88(BIG)

Consistent improvement, notably in scoring. That number should regress a bit, but he's a player who came into the league willing to play defense and buy into the team concept. He's done it incredibly well. Nance is one of those players who may be best suited to the bench, but on the right team, he'd be a devastating do-it-all starter.

    D'Angelo Russell PG(Wing)
    1. 5.73 / 3.13 / 2.36 // 67(67)
    2. 6.06 / 3.64 / 2.44 // 81(79)
    3. 6.83 / 3.89 / 2.30 // 96(94)
It hasn't always been easy to see it, but the Lakers have done a respectable job of developing their young talent, at least on the offensive side of the court. Russell marks the third player on the list who has become a legit scoring threat in the NBA. His scoring and passing will both likely decrease a bit as the season progresses, but he has still improved his scoring and passing in each season.

I'll add in BI and Zubac. Trying to think of other young guys they had for at least two seasons over the past few seasons. I'll leave Kelly out...

    Brandon Ingram
    1. 5.00 / 2.55 / 2.33 // 51
    2. 5.65 / 2.78 / 2.49 // 63
Ingram was a disappointment - to me, at least - as a rookie. His post-ASB performance gave Lakers fans much to be thrilled with, and he has delivered so far this year, improving in every aspect of his overall game. It's worth remembering that these lottery picks entered the league so young that teams often have to make decisions on what to do with their post-rookie contract before they've seen them fulfill their potential. Ingram should continue to grow into a very good all-around player (but not a KD).

    1. 5.79 / 2.12 / 3.33 // 82
    2. 4.85 / 1.29 / 3.33 // 64
Lakers brought in some players I THINK were supposed to help now rather than when Zubac is ready. Hard to evaluate Zu Alcindor's development at this point.

Cool and different way to look at the players’ progression/regression

    Still? Really?

After consecutive poor performances it seems like it would be worse
