How do we manage that without giving up our pick or Randle?

Stein didn't know the specifics of any offers. Presumably we'd have to go of at least one of the #2 pick or Randle. Clarkson wasn't mentioned, but I'd have to think he'd also be involved.

Yeah the real question is what does it cost the Lakers? Trying to acquire Cousins could mean offering Sacre, Kings laugh, and that's that. Or it could mean the Lakers go all-in and offer 2/Randle/Clarkson. I would imagine the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Orlando is involved, which likely means that Vucevic would be on the move, presumably to SAC to make up for losing Cousins.

This is a complete guess, but Vuc/Randle/5 to SAC, Cousins/6 to LAL, and 2 to ORL? Obviously other contracts would have to be added in to make it all work, but that could be a basic framework.

Boogie is good but im not trading our young core/future for him. We better throw some money at Marc, Chandler, Jordan and keep the young guys around.

Definitely the framework could work. I could see something more along the lines of Mitch's mind trying to pull off-

Vuc/Clarkson/5 to Sac, Cousins/6 to LAL, 2/Black/#27 to Orlando or something like that.

That way we keep Randle and move into the summer with something like maybe Mudiay/Randle/Cousins to build around.

Wat? That's a strange target to me... I like Turner, but I don't like him at #6 at all.

If we really must move #2/Okafor (which I am heavily AGAINST), then I'd only do it if we kept Randle AND we got Cousins AND we got #6 in return. Then with #6 I would take either Mudiay or Stan Johnson.

    Mudiay
    Kobe
    Johnson
    Randle
    Cousins

    Game, set, match.

I don't think it makes sense to break up a promising young core for cousins. If they can do the #2 sign and trade jordan hill plus fillers Im happy

I don't like how cute the FO is getting with our pick, I'd rather just get Okafor and run with it. But "In Mitch We Trust".

I'd also think we would trade Clarkson before trading Randle, and maybe other teams don't like him as much as we do. If we do end up with Cousins and #6 for #2 and Clarkson I think we would draft a SF, Winslow or Stanley Johnson come to mind. And then going hard after Dragic/Rondo in FA. Essentially filling out our starting line up, not bad but I'm not a huge fan of it.

Cousins and #6 for Hill, Young and #2? Would you do it?

That's not absolutely horrible, but I still wouldn't do it.

Let's hope that's what Mitch tries to "sell" ;).

Umm, yeah. That's what we call highway robbery. Best center in the NBA along with Hezonja/Winslow...and we dump Swaggy? With a smart signing, we are a playoff team. If that were the deal I would try to get Dragic.

No WAY we move BOTH #2 AND Randle.

It's either or. Keep Randle. Or keep #2 and draft Russell.

I can't see it happening though unless someone gets robbed hardcore:

    LA: Cousins
    SAC: Vucevic/#5
    ORL: #2/#6

    LA: Cousins
    SAC: Vucevic/Black/#5
    ORL: Randle/Stauskas/#6

No. Especially if we are moving down to grab Turner.

I can be talked into Cousins and keeping the number two to grab Russell.

I would also be interested in Cousins and using the 5th or 6th pick on Mudiay, Hezonja, Winslow, or Stanley Johnson.

But I think Randle and Okafor is going to be legitimately better than Turner and Cousins
