He took Theo Robertson's spot. There's two things here: 1) USA basketball and young organization connection is always good and 2) the timing is clearly to help out with Summer League as well.

Miles was an excellent guard at Zona. I recall he had good leadership, fearless and an effective scorer. The only head scratcher was that I thought his pro career would be better. But who knows what he had to deal with at that time, I'm thinking an injury but can't recall.

Madsen accepted a job in Utah, but yes, what an interesting thing to retain Miles. I think he was added last to the staff. He must have really set himself apart to be retained. but I wonder if he wanted to be. What if he wanted to move on with Luke?
