This kind of LeBron -- aggressive -- I can totally get behind. No hesitation. Nice D on switches. Blocks. No stupid TOs (may be 1).

    Kudos. Keep them coming.

However, LeBron finally got the package:

Or do we move him while his value is up?

I’m glad so many fans are pleased. Hopefully he does this a little more often against good teams so nobody forgets what he’s capable of.

The better end game is "so we keep winning a high % of our games" going forward.

What really made me smile was his great defensive pressure and positioning. For the new guys, this is what I want from Lebron. We all know he’s going to get his numbers, but that doesn’t do for me as a fan. I really love when he can just crack down and play great on ball and off ball defense. That’s what got us the win tonight.

Actually I’d rather he not do this consistently. He will be dead by All-Star break. We all know what he can do. If he plays defense like he played tonight more consistently, I guarantee he won’t have to score 40.

I don’t even care so much about the scoring, it was the effort at key times on both ends that had me loving this game. This was a tough opponent, we needed this win to prove the wins vs the crappy teams weren’t a fluke. Great to see LeBron show up for a big game and lead and carry the team. No, I don’t expect nights like this too often because of his age, but the effort was great to see, easily his best game as a Laker.

Played better defense last night actually. Don't get used to these 40+ point games guys. It's not necessary most of the time. I prefer to save him for thep layoffs as much as possible.

But man, that was beautiful to watch.

Vintage LeBron. He used to play like this all the time as far defense is concerned. Congratulations to him for passing Wilt. Next couple games will be easier teams, so we better continue playing with this type of intensity.

I wonder how much of his defensive effort against Portland was because of getting clowned for that terrible kicking non-effort defensive play against the Hawks.

This Lebron showed what this team can be when he does turns it on. Yeah he’ll take nights off but if the other guys can step up their consistency on a regular basis, and Lebron inserts his will when needed, we’re looking at a dangerous team especially come playoff time.

You know what's crazy is the rest of his 03 class is retired, retiring or should retire (Melo). He is still top 5 after 16 seasons and has only slowed down a little. It's nice to be over .500, in the playoff hunt and beating teams that have owned us the past 5 years. To beat Portland at home and on the road is something that we haven't done in a long time, and there not some crap team either, sitting 2nd in the West. I also just read that by January he will pass Jordan for 4th in scoring! Just make those dang free throws man.

I guess it's a combo of better legs and saying "f*** it, I'm done chilling to make these average players more comfortable" .

Once again if he hits these superstar 3s , he's unstoppable as driving lanes are opening ... ( it sure helped his teammates hit some too)
