Man, the definition of "Hero" has been watered down to nothing.

There was one article during his Miami days saying LeBron was playing at something like 270 lbs, but it was unsubstantiated:

    Source

Also found this unsourced discussion saying James was 275 and 5% bodyfat according to Jon Barry in 2008: Link

The above article references the "rumors." Completely unverified, but the media ran with it. The more recent one was Windhorst admittedly speculating LeBron was at 270, and LeBron jabbed at it by adding 10 more pounds in his latest media interview.

If a guy like Joel Embiid is reportedly 250 (probably more than this but not more than 275), I don't think LeBron weighs that much. Even Shaq when he was drafted was something like 290. Regardless, I trust LeBron to manage his body just fine. He's done a good job thus far, holistically speaking.

even the best genetics, 5% body fat is not sustainable without flawless diet AND supplements, usually illegal.

Forget the player/Laker angle for a second.

Using your platform/influence to provide enlightenment/motivation/support towards your community and socioeconomic imbalances is pretty heroic s***.

    Perspective is a MFer:

KAJ joined forces with Ali and refused to fight along other "heroes" in a war he didn't believe in. If soldiers and fighting for your countrymen's liberties is considered heroic, I guess KAJ is a coward then.

That same dude sees what Bron the civilian is doing off the court for his community...yeah, I'm going to roll with his non-gun slingin / non-murderous opinion on the matter while y'all can trip over Bron's clutch shooting towards his "cowardly" 3-6 Finals record.

Btw, oft vilified Devean George is a hero to me too!

And on that note, I'm going to tag my guy @JSM on this and ghost the rest of this conversation like the coward that I am.

Yes. I believe 5% is not sustainable for any athlete in any sport.

Even the most dedicated bodybuilders have an "off-season" where they are at around 10-11% percent. They get dry in like 10 weeks before they compete and go back right up after it.

And your diet is basically a little bit of veggies, a little bit of lean chicken and lean beef and a whole lot of supplements lol. Not healthy at all.

The only guys that keep themselves at 7-8% are usually models...they must have a six pack 12 months a year...very hard.

Yeah. 6 pack is extremely difficult in your 30's. When I was in my early 20's I was able to do it relatively easy. Now I have a 5 pack which is the top 4 muscles have definition but the bottom two have the small remnants of the spare tire.

Side note, for people who want definition in their stomach, stop doing a million crunches and start doing sets of 8-10 at a heavy weight on a machine of some sort. You will be able to actually see your muscles without having to have 5% body fat.
