apparently he wants to go to the spurs

i just don't think he has the leadership abilities to be THE guy on a team. either way, it's hilarious watching the cavs implode. unfortunately, that might mean the C Bags will be able to waltz their way to the finals. even though they'll get their a**** kicked by GS

This is funny from so many angles. Gilbert is sweating now and has no GM to get this done. LeBron loses his best teammate. Irving comes off as kind of dumb imo and he will regret this if he never makes another finals, kind of a don't know what you've got til it's gone thing. And a superstar wants away from LeBron, the ultimate teammate in the history of the world. It's too good.

It was just a month ago or so that Kyrie was saying he treasured his time with LeBron... something about this doesn't smell right to me. I think whoever said Kyrie and LeBron probably planned this are dead on. I think LeBron is out and LeBron told Kyrie, just go man it's all good.

Me and Punk were sort of discussing it. I could see a scenario where Kyrie is doing this in a way so he almost forces Cleveland's hand (ie I don't like playing with LBJ). If Kyrie knows he's gone, he doesn't want to be stuck on a capped out team struggling to finish in the top 4 in the East...while living in a hell hole like Cleveland.

    OR

Maybe he really does LOATHE playing with LBJ so this may force the Cavs to consider an LBJ trade where Irving can control of the team and hopefully acquire some pieces that will allow him to compete for years as opposed to losing LBJ outright and being stuck.

Ramona made a good point on SC, Irving doesn't have a no trade clause. He can give a list of teams wants to go to, but that really doesn't matter. He can be traded to Philly for all their young talent, be left on a garbage team, and the Cavs better off in the long run. This is maybe smart by him, but it's also be careful what you ask for, because he can end up on a playoff team, or a garbage team. He's got 3 years on his contract I believe, he's not an expiring, the Cavs still have the leverage because he can't go anywhere, they don't have to trade him. Kobe keeps being brought up on SC, like when he requested a trade or back when he was done playing with Shaq. Both times he remained a Laker because that was the smart move for the Lakers.

LOL He should be thankful for playing with Lebron .

He's a 1st round exit at best in the new Least as the 1st option

I don't think this is remotely possible but Lonzo/Kyrie/PG would be a dream come true.

Wow, I sure did not see this coming. I'm a big fan of Kyrie, he's a clutch superstar who elevates his game on the biggest stage. Lebron would not have won 2 years ago without Kyrie taking over those games on offense. He was unstoppable at times. Lebron put up insane numbers that series, but I really felt that Kyrie was the true MVP in terms of his clutch performance and cementing the wins.

This really came out of nowhere though. Like realdeal, I'm also wondering if Lebron might have let him know that he was done with Cleveland after this season. Or if not, maybe Kyrie believes it as many are starting to. No matter what the cause, it's pretty crazy!
