Nobody should care what Dwight thinks. He hasn't accomplished anything substantial and never will. You could already see the start of his decline last year as his body started to betray him and his athleticism started to wane. He's going to be washed up sooner rather than later.

Watching Kobe's 81 point game on NBATV right now. Wow. In a little over a month it'll have been a decade since. How Kobe didn't win MVP that season well that's just an absolute travesty.

It's sad, he was the whole reason I started watching basketball. I switched on the TV and he just hit the game tying 3 against the Pistons in the finals, it immediately started my romance with basketball and the Lakers.

So no matter what happens this season, greatest Laker of all time, thanks for everything.

Always loved KD. Some of the criticism is warranted because Kobe has taken a lot of bad shots, but when you see stuff like he's not top 15 of all time that's just ridiculous. The blatant disrespect for one of the true living legends is disgraceful.

One is a true champion who achieved it through honest and unrelenting hard work while the other imagines he is one.

    Stopped reading it.

Reggie Miller has more win shares than Kobe. That means win shares is not a good barometer for measuring greatness. End of story.

On this day 1 year ago, Kobe put up 31/11/12 against the Raptors. We won 129-122.

There will only be a handful of players IN THEIR PRIMES this season that will do that. Kobe did it in his 19th season. Respect greatness. Please give us one more game like this.

Oh boy was I naive when I expected "journalists" to be a little more objective now that he's announced his retirement after the season. Nice list, I guess he must be very upset about not working out a formula that would result in Bron at No. 1 and Kobe out of the 50 best

No truly elite seasons did I really just read that?

Every time I think ESPN can't sink any lower they prove me wrong.

    What a bunch of clowns.

    Lol winshares.

LOL. 2nd highest ppg when adjusted for pace.
LOL. Reggie never even made all-NBA second.
    LOL no.

Kobe ranks 8th, which is higher than 20 but less than 10.

When you have to come up with a model to put down Kobe. I'm sure someone can come up with something that proves Sacre is the real GOAT. Give me the raw numbers, the points, rebs, ast, etc. Give me the number of awards, championships, all nba teams, etc. Those you can't bend into your own agenda.

The man averages 25, 5, and 5 for his career. Considering he played with Shaq half his career, and the last three seasons have brought his numbers down a little bit to say he hasn't had elite stats just tells me you haven't watched the guy's career. Also I don't think there are any stats that can measure Kobe's heart, toughness, tenacity, and leadership.
