On the other hand if he costs only the MLE for a 1 or 2 year contract, I wouldn't mind him. He's a role player out of control with no coach to guide him. He has played 76 and 74 games the last 2 years with the Lakers, stayed healthy, has hit 310 out of 850 3s he took at a 36.5% clip. If you expect him to be a role player he can fulfill that with proper guidance.
The only clear vision of KCraP in the 2018-19 season is his "ok...ok...ok" when Luke was on him about messing up on a play. Get this clown off the team. Let the youngster learn on their own without these douche bags. If you need reference, look at Orlando and Brooklyn today.
If he plays like end of season KCP then maybe, but he turns up out of shape and seems to be a low iq player at the best of times.
man we get end of season kcp so randomly...thats y hes not worth taking back unless vet min....f that bs with mle $, this guy stole more than enough $ so far
I don’t think KCP could accept a vet min, or even MLE price, and certainly not that role. He looked miserable all season long off the bench or in a reduced role after having the green light last season and even being our last second shot taker. The only time he looked happy this season was after LeBron decided to call it a season and he got to jack up 25 shots a game. In summation, I don’t want him back, at any price, in any role.
As much as I hate him, if he comes on vet min after the two massive contracts we gave him, I wouldn’t be mad.
Vet min--we then own full bird rights for next year, when we'll be operating over the cap and money will be scarce. Could be win/win.
could be room exception or part of it, too. point is that us having his bird rights could end up good for him in the long run--particularly if, as we suspect, klutch actually runs the lakers.
