well we sorta thought that last off-season but he did have some saving grace moments, i'm just saying mgmt supposedly said they wont spend money just to spend it. Those plan B guys look good to us but I'm sure mgmt. will roll over that cap IF AD trade doesn't happen AND they can't sign the real MAX FA they want.
I don’t think they’re going to do that, I think they’re going to go all in to get LeBron help as his window is like next season and maybe one more after that. If Durant leaves the Warriors that leaves the West more open than its been in years so I can see them going after that plan B guy hard. If we strike out I can see cap rollover, but only if they try to trade for Davis, Beal, McCollum, etc and strike out on everything. At that point cap rollover is probably the only option, because they’ll think they can sign Davis outright in 2020, but I’d still try going after plan C or D guys like Vucevic.
Honestly, I would pass for next season. He doesn't seem to show up when it matter most. This summer we need to be hunting for more 3 and D players, or at least the D part. Perimeter defense and a scoring PG should be at the top of our list. Of course AD doesn't hurt, either.
So just before AD's trade demand happened, rumor has it... Zo may have also been in the loop, in that his camp aka Lavar, preferred Chicago (among a select few) as a landing spot. Parker has a team friendly deal in that next year is a team option worth 20m. So he could have been a possible reroute to Nawlins.
Parker sucks, so lateral move IMO. He’s also probably a worse fit next to LeBron than KCP, which makes me afraid that this front office is as dumb as they look. “Hey he was a #2 pick too, get him!”.
I really wouldn't have understood that trade either when the rumor surfaced....Parker is a 3 but due to his lack of spacing abilities they made him an undersized 4. Why would we have wanted an undersized 4 who plays like a 3? We could've just given Randle that same deal Parker got, 1+1 team opt, I'm sure Randle wouldn't have minded a 20mill/yr deal even if it was just 1 yr
It's a 20 million expiring, which could have potentially allowed us to make a trade for Davis while keeping one of the young ones. Also, that means Zubac is likely still here.
I suppose Rob is a CBA guy and knows numbers lol that to be thinking ahead, no way that’s what Magic was thinking though. But sure, I’m fine with silver linings.
Nah, KCP this year was just the 2nd year (last year) of the Lebron tax. He can't be that dumb. I refuse to believe it.
looks like we'll have another meltdown come FA period lmao...We signed one of the Ks, and it is K f***ing CP
He was honest about the deadline ruining our lockeroom. So, at least that was refreshing to hear. Don't really need him back next season, though. Unless we sign a max FA point guard, trade for Davis, sign a solid wing, and just need someone to be a semblance of a threat from 3 and occasionally play defense. Basically, Irving KCP Ariza James Davis Is cool. Otherwise, cya.
NSFW GIF: Language Spoiler: Ari Gold This one never gets old and perfectly sums up my feelings about KCP. Congrats on getting overpaid for as long as you did. You were a way for us to circumvent the system to get us closer to Bron and give a nice commission check to Klutch.
