dude wtf why are the Clippers even being considered?

I really hope Kawhi says LA LAKERS only...not the Clippers.

Clippers actually have some assets too....they have 13th and 14th picks and Tobias Harris...

It pains me to even think about this. If forced I do Ingram (because he and Kawhi play the same position) and Hart, and I LOVE Hart. Retaining Zo I think makes more players want to play here because he gets them easy buckets and is so unselfish, plus he allows us to switch everything 1-5. Kuz you keep because he’ll get open looks all day and we need shooters.

Damn this is tough. It's like telling the bad guy which of your children they can take away....

My first impression is you give up Lonzo and Hart. I really want to keep Ingram and Kuz!

I think it's important that Kawhi gets to LA for the market. His team is probably pushing for that so they say LA is the goal, the Lakers are the goal, we'll consider the Clippers too.

A lineup of Lonzo/Kawhi/LeBron/Kuzma/anybody else is dangerous as hell. If that anybody else can magically be Paul George, the Lakers are on the verge of dynasty.

I hope there's a way we can get there. I love me Josh Hart and I love me Brandon Ingram, but if we can get a Kawhi/LeBron combo while holding on to some youth, we're in the championship business.

Seems like a sucker bet honestly. Get a lot of people riding the wave and throwing money at the Lakers when the Lakers could still strike out this summer.

Imo, we need to keep Zo over anyone else. I love Kuz, I love Hart, I love Ingram, I love Randle, but Zo is the guy you build around. Those other guys are good, but they don’t do what Zo does. He actually does make people around him better. When he’s on the court you see how loose everyone plays and the fact he doesn’t need to score to be effective is even better. Hope the front office agrees with this sentiment.

I'm getting conflicted reports - as it stands, if Leonard wants out, then you have to get him here. Period. He's one of the top 2-3 2-Way players in the league and assures you get Lebron this summer.

For an MVP candidate? Done. In a heartbeat.

There is a certain caliber of player where you basically do whatever you have to do to get them and then you go from there. Not many players are in this category, but Kawhi definitely is. Arguably the best two-way player in the game. He's that good. Randle and Hart are promising, but replaceable. If you could trade for Kawhi and KEEP Kuz and Zo, you do it and you don't blink.

Honestly, man, I think they send him East; I would "hate" that, but I just don't see the Spurs doing a deal with us...

    Is he wrong though?

    - Take all things out and ask would the Spurs rather have Kawhi in the East (play against him 2 times vs. 4 in West).
    - Of course the Spurs don't have to trade him to his preferred destination. That's not hating on the Lakers. Spurs just have that option, power to do whatever they want.

Now I agree with you that there are many in the media that want to see us fail. But this tweet and these reasons I don't think Aldridge is necessarily wrong with these points.

New York guy, but not wrong. :D

If Boston is willing to play, Kawhi will likely end up there.
