    Doris Burke on PTI and Woj on SportsCenter today both said that the Clippers are currently the front runner for Kawhi this offseason. So it looks like signing Durant and/or an AD trade are plan A for us.

    Someone has to be the first. Kobe almost was once upon a time. They’re an attractive franchise right now, they have a “good” coach, Jerry West in some capacity, and a roster of scrappy players. They are the perfect destination for a player who wants to come “home”, be the hero for doing so, yet have zero actual expectations placed upon them as that fanbase is happy to just make the playoffs. And the player that DOES bring them their first title, he’ll be revered like the players that broke the Red Sox and Cubs curses. I can easily see Kawhi going there, it’s home, but at the same time it’s lowkey as news-wise the Clippers aren’t in the same universe as the Lakers, I often forget they even exist.
